Meghan McCain Claps Back at ‘The View’ Fan Who Doesn’t Want Her To Return
Meghan McCain has been away from The View most of this season as she became a mother to Liberty Sage. The conservative co-host is getting ready to make a comeback and has shared details of how she’s preparing for her return. Although there are many fans waiting to hear her commentary on the latest “Hot Topics,” some are not too excited to see her again. McCain clapped back at a hater on Twitter after a shady message to her.
When does Meghan McCain return to ‘The View?’
For The View to work there needs to be opposing views to create a debate. Fans that watch the ABC daytime show daily know that McCain is a hardcore Republican with conservative values. Since taking her maternity leave, the crossfire between the co-hosts has not been as prevalent as most share similar views.
McCain recently shared on her Instagram Stories that she’s struggling to find a portable breast pump. She explained that she needs one as she would be returning to the show in January. McCain seemingly confirmed that she would be joining Sarah Haines back in the studio.
“I tried the Medela regular portable [breast pump] and then I tried the Elvie and they suck, it doesn’t work at all,” McCain said in her Stories. “I went to a doctor’s appointment and came back… and it was a disaster because the suction wasn’t as strong. And I have to back to work in January.”
The political analyst asked her followers for any recommendations they may have as she’s tried multiple breast pumps that were not suitable for her.
Meghan McCain is not here for shade
Since the pandemic hit, The View has been broadcasting from their respective homes. When the new season premiered back in September, Haines was the only one to physically return to the studio, while the rest remained at home. From what McCain said in the previous video, it seems that she will be back with Haines as well.
McCain once again confirmed on Twitter that she would be returning to her co-hosting duties at the beginning of the year.
“I appreciate this beautiful sentiment,” McCain tweeted along with the message from a fan that misses her on the talk show. “I will be back on The View when the season comes back right after New Years’ in January. Appreciate those who miss me. I love my job but have also really loved this time with my daughter Liberty and think maternity leave is a gift.”
McCain started receiving replies to the tweet. However, there was one that caught McCain’s attention in particular. The Twitter user urged the daytime star to “not come back” to The View and to continue enjoying her time with her daughter Liberty.
“Sorry Charlie, I’m coming back,” McCain clapped back while quoting the tweet.
The View is set to take a holiday break in the coming weeks but will return in January. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Haines are set to continue with McCain taken her place once again. The show airs weekday mornings at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. PT/CT on ABC.
