‘The View’: Meghan McCain Snaps at Co-Host After Tantrum and Fans React
Meghan McCain was back to her stubborn ways on The View and threw another tantrum during the live broadcast. It only took a joke from Joy Behar for the conservative to not want to continue debating with the rest of the panelists. When one of her fellow co-hosts tried to integrate her back into the conversation, McCain completely shut her down.
The incident happened on the episode that aired on Friday, December 6. On the “Hot Topics” table was a reporter that asked Nancy Pelosi if she hated Donald Trump. When the Speaker of the House gave an epic response a hashtag was born and McCain claimed that she’s now monetizing it selling t-shirts.
“I think that the problem is when she did answer it masterfully, the problem is now she’s selling t-shirts that say #DontMessWithNancy,” McCain said. “For $39, you can buy a t-shirt,” she said.
“This is very serious. We’re talking about the Constitution. We’re talking about impeachment. And for me, it reduces it—it’s very reductive to start selling sweatshirts that say #DontMessWithNancy.”
When Behar chimed in with a joke reminding McCain that Trump sold hats with his “Make America Great Again” slogan, she lost it.
Sunny Hostin tried to bring back McCain into the discussion asking where she got her information from.
“It doesn’t matter,” McCain replied seemingly upset and looking away.
Behar and the audience couldn’t help but laugh at McCain’s response.
Fans are not here for Meghan McCain’s attitude
Viewers of the ABC daytime talk show called McCain out for spreading information without naming her source. Fans that follow the program don’t like it when McCain completely ignores her co-hosts or starts pouting.
“I like McCain but she sometimes gets offended too easily,” a fan wrote. “Joy tends to get on my nerves but you can tell that she doesn’t care how Meghan feels. Meghan took it too hard and started pouting. She hasn’t figured out that she can’t take what Joy says seriously. Very immature.”
“Gotta love Joy Behar for slamming Meghan McCain when [she] complained about the Nancy Pelosi t-shirts. Meghan, as usual, pouted like a baby and rolled her eyes. She’s a female Trump,” a viewer added.
“I struggle with finding reasons why Megan McCain is on there. She perpetuates so many false rumors and then insists they are true. She pouts when people don’t like what she has to say. It’s very uncomfortable to watch her with her arms crossed constantly,” another fan commented.
Meghan McCain constantly thinks of getting fired
Season 23 of The View is McCain’s second season on the panel. Although there have been rumors that she was getting fired from the show, the gossip has been unfounded. However, getting the boot from the talk show is something that the Republican does have on her mind constantly.
“I go in assuming I’m going to be fired every day,” McCain said during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “Every single day. Yes, every day.”
Even though she has that mentality, McCain assured that she hasn’t been closed to being removed from The View.
“It’s more the tone we are [at] culturally, people get canceled so easily,” she explained. “And by the way, Joy has this same thing, because we are the most honest and raw. And we’re always going to say something that is going to be too far one way. So I say it sort of jokingly, but sort of not.”
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. CT/PT.
