‘The View’: Meghan McCain Throws New On-Air Tantrum and Fans Blast Her
Meghan McCain is one of the most controversial panelists on The View as the loudest conservative voice on the table. The daughter of the late Senator John McCain is not afraid to speak her mind and blast her on-air co-hosts. She has been known to spar with her fellow television personalities and on Friday’s episode, she threw another hissy fit during the live broadcast.

What made Meghan McCain upset on ‘The View’?
McCain and the ladies took on the topic of Harvey Weinstein after the accused sexual predator showed up at an actor’s event. The ladies each took a turn sharing their point of view on the subject. All of them agreed that Weinstein shouldn’t have been at the event in the first place and they all called out the hecklers enabling the Hollywood producer’s behavior.
“There are women who would marry Charles Manson and date OJ Simpson. So like, we shouldn’t be surprised…,” McCain interjected.
When McCain tried to make a greater point though, she was cut off as the show was set to go to commercial break.
“I will say like… I always, especially in the times we’re living in, like when I choose to go someplace socially I always think about just, we’re living in an incredibly polarized time…,” she said before stopping mid-sentence giving a glare off camera.
Goldberg looked at McCain knowing another tantrum was happening and told her to “go ahead” as the show’s theme song played in the background.
“Forget it,” McCain said looking annoyed.
“Finish it,” Goldberg told her.
“It’s fine. I’m being… It’s the Oscars, it’s fine, thanks,” she said reluctantly.
Goldberg was caught off guard and didn’t know how to proceed and threw to commercial breaks as the rest of the panel giggled at what they had just witnessed.
What fans are saying about Meghan McCain
Although The View cut off McCain’s tantrum from the video they shared on social media, fans still commented on the incident on Twitter. Many viewers protested about McCain’s behavior when similar incidents have happened in the past.
“Meghan McCain whines about being cut off,” a viewer tweeted. “If she would not complain, she would be able to finish her thought. Instead, she uses the time to throw herself a pity party and create an awkwardness like no other.”
“Can you please get rid of Meghan McCain,” another viewer asked. “All she does is shriek and whine, and act like the spoiled brat kid she is.”
“Oh, why can’t McCain just cut her speeches down and stop acting up all the time?” a fan questioned. “They started the music and she wasted all that time complaining instead of finishing what she was saying. She is not a team player, doesn’t know how to just be. This is the wrong job for her.”
Fans are not here for McCain’s reactions during the live shows and their reactions on Twitter prove that.
Meghan McCain fears being fired from show
It’s in McCain’s nature to be passionate about her job and her convictions. That is one of the reasons the ABC talk show co-host goes to work thinking she will get the ax any day.
“I go in assuming I’m going to be fired every day,” she told host Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. “Every single day. Yes, every day.”
When Cohen asked her if she had ever been closed to getting booted from the daytime show, she explained.
“It’s more the tone we are [at] culturally, people get canceled so easily,” she explained. “And by the way, Joy has this same thing, because we are the most honest and raw. And we’re always going to say something that is going to be too far one way. So I say it sort of jokingly, but sort of not.”
Whether McCain gets fired from The View or not is up in the air. The truth is that the conservative co-host has made a lot of moments go viral and the ratings for the show have been increasing. The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. PT/CT on ABC.
