‘The Voice’: Blake Shelton Gets Tucked into Bed and Kissed in New Promo
The premiere of season 17 of The Voice is coming and that means we’re getting more clips of the cast. A funny promo was released showing the coaches having a sleepover. Find out who tucks Blake Shelton into bed and kisses him in the video.
The Voice is returning for season 17
Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend are the coaches for season 17. The biggest change is Stefani replacing Adam Levine. She talked about what it’s like to step into his shoes.
“To think that [Adam’s] not going to be there is like bittersweet. And plus, like, being between him and Blake, the amount of laughter, I would have to like stop and massage my face, because it would hurt,” the pop star said on The Talk.
She went on to say, “But it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be exciting. I mean, Blake’s my best friend, so I get to hang out with him at work.” Stefani added, “I wanted to come back so bad. I mean, the show is so fun.”
A video showed Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will be competitive
The couple won’t be taking it easy on each other this season. A video shows them arguing over a contestant.
“She put our relationship on the line for you!” the country star yelled at someone on stage. John Legend said, “You’re personally responsible for breaking up one of America’s favorite couples.”
Stefani also talked about her feelings about returning to the competition show. “I’m so happy to be back. My life changed so much on the show,” she said. That includes being happy to be with her best friend “Blakey.”
A new promo shows the coaches having a sleepover
A new promo shows the coaches having dinner together and having so much fun they decide to make it a sleepover. That includes watching an old music video starring Shelton, having a pillow fight, and Carson Daly reading a bed time story to them.
It all ends with Daly tucking Shelton into bed and giving him a kiss on the cheek. The host whispers to them, “Sleep well my angels. We’ve got a big season ahead.”
The host isn’t just close with the coaches on the screen. He posted a throwback photo from 1995 of himself with Stefani before the season’s premiere.
He wrote in the caption, “It’s pretty crazy that I’ve known @gwenstefani since 1995. Here she’s on my afternoon radio show in San Jose, Ca. #TragicKingdom was released in Oct that yr. Now, almost 25 yrs later we work together @nbcthevoice She is the realist, sweetest, most talented & just down right coolest person I know.
