Many fans have wondered if the singers were going to get married for years. They finally revealed they were engaged in October of 2020.

They posted a picture of themselves kissing and Stefani showing off her ring. Stefani captioned the picture with “. @blakeshelton yes please! Gx.”

The couple was secretly engaged before revealing their big news. The Voice host, Carson Daly said he knew about their engagement when he interviewed Stefani on Today when she dodged a question about marriage.

This leads to the question of when will they get married? Stefani talked to Ryan Seacrest about the wedding. She revealed it might not happen for some time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I would say I just want my parents there at this point,” she told the radio host. “My parents wouldn’t come to Thanksgiving because they were so scared (about the COVID-19 pandemic), so really would rather it not be a COVID situation. I would rather not have masks and that kind of thing.”

Stefani avoided giving a specific date. So the couple could be making their plans or holding off to wait and see when it’ll be safe for their family to gather again.

Pia Renee performed in the third part of the blind auditions. The Chicago singer performed “Master Blaster (Jammin)” by Stevie Wonder. Shelton and John Legend turned their chairs at the last minute.

Shelton knew right away his chances were slim against Legend given she performed a reggae song. But he still tried to butter her up. He also pointed out that he might not be well-versed in reggae but Stefani is.

“Who knows even by the time this airs Gwen Stefani, she could even be my wife by then,” he told Legend. Legend didn’t believe him. “Breaking news!” he shouted.

The country coach doubled down. “She’s delivering twins right now. She’s pushing ‘em out but I’m here working,” he said. Shelton then said his point is he’s been learning about reggae because of his relationship with Stefani.

Renee unsurprisingly picked Legend in the end. Kelly Clarkson said Shelton’s pitch was the “maybe the saddest display ever.”

Shelton was joking about already being married. But it just goes to show that he isn’t afraid to start rumors to win over contestants.
