Gwen Stefani is replacing Adam Levine for Season 17
Adam Levine announced that he won’t be back for another season of The Voice. Gwen Stefani will be taking his place. It will certainly be a big change since Levine and Blake Shelton have been on the show since Season 1 and had a friendly feud.
Stefani talked about Levine leaving on The Talk. “To think that [Adam’s] not going to be there is like bittersweet. And plus, like, being between him and Blake, the amount of laughter, I would have to like stop and massage my face, because it would hurt,” she said.
The coach is excited about next season. “But it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be exciting. I mean, Blake’s my best friend, so I get to hang out with him at work.” She then added, “I wanted to come back so bad. I mean, the show is so fun.”
She has already started talking about the season with Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship is still going strong. So it’s not a surprise that they are already talking about Season 17 with each other.
“We’re starting to have pillow talk about it,” Stefani told E! News. “Every season I’ve been on it it’s been a different version of being with Blake. So this is like a different version of it.”
What did Shelton have to say about next season? Of course, it involved trash talk. She said Shelton said, “We still gotta beat the competition. I was like ‘got it!’”
The couple isn’t the only ones looking forward to next season. Kelly Clarkson doesn’t just seem to be excited to go back to coaching but to work with Stefani.

Clarkson won’t be the only female judge for Season 17. She tweeted about her excitement with “So I’m sitting here on vacation thinking about how freaking excited I am about working with @gwenstefani on #NBCTheVoice this next season. I have been a fan of this woman since #TrappedInABox y’all. Move over @blakeshelton I’m fan crushin’ on your girl this season!”
It looks like there won’t be a feud there. Fans are pretty excited about this new possible duo in the replies to Clarkson’s tweet.
One fan replied, “Love you and Gwen. Girl Power. Can’t wait. Team Kelly all the way.” Another wrote, ” I’ve been dreaming of a @[email protected] duet for years! Please make it happen at some point this season!” A third replied, “Well your days of being the only woman on The Voice are now over you got Gwen so you girls can stick together and have a blast I love it.”
Fans will have to wait and see what it will be like to have all four coaches together. Hopefully, there will be a powerful duet with Stefani and Clarkson.
