‘The Voice’: Is Blake Shelton Planning to Propose to Gwen Stefani?
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been warming the hearts of America since they met on The Voice and began dating.
Neither of them has had an easy journey when it comes to love. Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale from 2002 to 2016 and the two share three children together. Shelton has been married twice. First to Kaynette Williams from 2003 to 2006 and then to Miranda Lambert from 2011-2015.
And now that Lambert has remarried, people are wondering how it’s affecting Shelton.
“Blake is paying no attention to what Miranda is doing and if she is happy or not with Brendan,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “He wishes her no ill will, however, it’s not something that’s on his radar.”
“He’s focused on his relationship with Gwen and his own life and career. At the end of the day, Miranda isn’t his favorite person and never will be and the same goes with her feelings on Blake. It annoys him when people bring up her name along with his in the same sentence still because he’s so beyond moved on from her.”
Now that he and Stefani are so happy together, fans have been wondering when the two will make things official and get engaged.
Is Shelton planning to propose to Stefani?
Shelton and Stefani have been going strong since 2015 and according to the country singer, their relationship gets better every day. There is no word on when Shelton is planning to propose but he already knows how he wants to announce the engagement.
“Obviously, that’s gotta lead somewhere, but I promise you, we won’t break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines,” he told Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell. “When it happens, you’ll hear about it from somebody like you. Maybe even you, exclusively. You’re credible. You’re incredible, and you’re credible.”
How does Shelton feel about engagement rumors?
Since the two musical powerhouses have gotten together, rumors have been surfacing about their relationship, both bad and good.
“First of all, the rumors stuff, I’m not gonna sit here and say that it makes me mad,” Shelton told the outlet. “It’s funny. I’ve learned over the years just to take that for what it is.”
“If I am somehow, and Gwen is somehow, newsworthy enough that they have to make up stories about us just to have something to say, then I guess that’s a good problem to have,” he said. “You know, I gotta say that we couldn’t be happier, and we’ve never been doing better.”
But despite the rumors of engagement not being true, Stefani and Shelton continue to get closer and closer.
“She’s never not been supportive or a cheerleader, just the most encouraging person I’ve ever had in my life, on any level,” Shelton said of his girlfriend. “It’s unbelievable how supportive she is. I tell her this all the time, and she doesn’t realize it, but Gwen’s one of these people that I learn so much from, because no matter what the situation is, she has a way of looking at something from every angle possible, and understanding if there’s turmoil or something going on, instead of just jumping to conclusions or reacting, it’s, ‘Well, here’s why they may feel that way.'”
