This season, Swift is helping the contestants out by mentoring them before the Knockouts. She got an interesting nickname of “Mega Mentor” for the position. “That’s really gonna go straight to me head,” she said.

She talked about why she decided to return for the position. “I wanted to come on the show because when I was here before I had a really good time,” she said on the show. “The one thing that’s really cool is that I was in that position. Not on a television show, but you have to put yourself out there so many times in this line of work.”

She wrote about Blake Shelton in her diary

The pop star has a history with country singer, Blake Shelton. She also talked about this on the show.

“I think out of all the coaches you’re the person that I know the longest,” she said to him. “I actually rediscovered a diary recently and it was like ‘I met Blake Shelton. He was so nice!’ And I was 15.”

Shelton had something say about her impression of him then. “Man, that must have been years ago if I was still nice back then,” he said. Swift then joked back, “Yeah, I must have not understood humor. You were totally just making fun of me the whole time.”

Swift cried and made a joke after watching Hello Sunday

The duo, Hello Sunday was thrilled to meet Swift to get mentored for the third part of the Knockouts. The 14-year-old girls talked about being fans of her.

“I usually have one of her CDs on repeat all day,” said Myla Finks. The good thing is they didn’t let her down.

They chose the song, “Almost Is Never Enough” by Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes. Swift’s face drops during their performance.

“When I started out I was 10 or 11 years old singing for people,” said the pop star. “But seeing young performers who so firmly have their musical identity figured out, I was so completely shattered by it. I fully fell apart. It was that good.”

After their performance Swift said, “Oh my god, I’m fully crying. I don’t know why. It’s just really, really great.” The young performers seemed blown away by her response.

Finks said Swift crying meant something because “It assured us that we could actually move people when we sing.” Swift joked about crying.

“I promise that I’m okay in my personal life. This is not from some outside place,” she said as Kelly Clarkson laughed. The duo managed to beat Alex Guthrie but he was stolen by John Legend. Fans will have to keep watching to see how far Hello Sunday will go this season.
