‘The Voice’: Why Blake Shelton Doesn’t Care About Miranda Lambert’s Marriage

Blake Shelton’s ex, Miranda Lambert hasn’t had the easiest love life. But it seemed like she had finally gotten it right when she settled down with husband Brendan McLoughlin in January of this year.

At least until reports started surfacing that the two were headed for divorce. According to reps for Lambert, the rumors of a split are false.

“[It’s] completely made up,” a rep told E! News. “Not one iota is true. They are happy and together!”

Regardless of what the reports say, seeing your ex in the news is probably not the easiest thing to deal with. But, Shelton is apparently ignoring it all and enjoying his own love life.

How does Shelton feel about Lambert’s marriage?

After a tumultuous breakup, Shelton has completely moved on from Lambert.

“Blake is paying no attention to what Miranda is doing and if she is happy or not with Brendan,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “He wishes her no ill will, however, it’s not something that’s on his radar.”

“He’s focused on his relationship with Gwen and his own life and career. At the end of the day, Miranda isn’t his favorite person and never will be and the same goes with her feelings on Blake. It annoys him when people bring up her name along with his in the same sentence still because he’s so beyond moved on from her.”

Shelton is, now, happy in his relationship with Gwen Stefani, and isn’t bothered by having Lambert around.

“Miranda is a part of Blake’s story and Blake’s life and he will always be around her in one way shape or form because they will always be connected in the country world. They will work with the same people, they will be at the same award shows and though he once had amazing love for her he has found an even stronger love for Gwen,” another source told the outlet.

What happened between Shelton and Lambert?

Shelton and Lambert met in 2005 when Shelton was still married to Kaynette Gern. At the time, they were rehearsing for CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets concert.

“I’ve never had that kind of experience with anybody,” he said on Behind the Music in 2012. “I was a married guy, you know? Standing up there and singing with somebody and going, ‘Man, this shouldn’t be happening.’ Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, right there on stage.”

Sadly, in 2015, the couple decided to go their separate ways.

“This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately,” the pair said in a statement at the time. “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

Why doesn’t Shelton think about Lambert anymore?

Since his divorce from Lambert, Shelton has healed and completely moved on to a healthy situation. And now, he simply doesn’t have time to worry about what is going on in Lambert’s life.

“He doesn’t support people trashing Miranda on his behalf because it doesn’t do anything for anyone positively speaking,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “He is Gwen’s guy. He’s happy and hopes Miranda is happy but he can’t take time to think about her. It just makes no sense to harp on the past. Remember what was good from it and move forward.”
