‘The Walking Dead’: Norman Reedus Doesn’t Want Daryl’s Story to End This Way

Numerous characters have reached a bloody end on The Walking Dead. Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) isn’t one of them, but because Reedus has been around long enough he has had time to think about how he doesn’t want Daryl’s story to end.

How would it go down if he could control it? Here is everything you need to know.

Many important characters have died throughout the course of the show. Daryl has been safe and he’s a fan favorite so they have been vocal about never wanting him to die. Reedus seems to be on the same page with them.

I don’t want to go anywhere. I’ll burn down that whole studio if they got rid of me,” he joked with Entertainment Tonight. The actor has a different option for Daryl if he has to go.

“I always said I wanted to just walk off into the sunset with a dog, but now so many people are doing that, that I don’t know. I don’t know how I’d want to die,” said Reedus. “I don’t want to die ever, so I don’t want to put it out there. I don’t want to give anyone any ideas.”

He is still sad about all of the people no longer on the show

The Walking Dead has a large body count. The remaining characters have mourned them and continued to survive on the show, but Reedus talked about what it’s been like as an actor.

“I’ve seen so many people come and go on that show, it’s a bummer to me. Their ghosts are always with me. It’s a very heavy thing to take with you,” he said. One good thing is that the show has still reinvented itself with new showrunner Angela Kang.

I love what Angela’s doing to the show,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “She’s very punk rock, Angela Kang. She jumps in. There’s a confidence with our crew and with our cast and with our storytelling that we’ve earned over the years.”

He later said, “After nine years, you have to reinvent yourself a little bit. I just want to make the show that we want to make, and it feels like that’s what we’re doing. You can feel it in the crew. You can feel it in the cast. You can feel it in the scripts. It’s the show that we want to make.”

Norman Reedus went on to reveal that Andrew Lincoln joked about the new change. “It’s funny because I talked to Andy the other day,” he said. “And he was like, “Man, I picked the wrong time to leave the show because it’s so f*cking good right now.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, you did, dude. You picked the wrong time.’”

Fans would certainly be upset over Daryl Dixon dying. Maybe the actor will get what he wants in the end.
