WitcherCon is a celebration of ‘The Witcher’

The Witcher is based on author Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy saga, The Witcher Series, and the video games his books inspired. To celebrate the games and the series, Netflix and CD Projekt Red are hosting a virtual fan event that will span two days.

How fans of ‘The Witcher’ virtually attend or watch WitcherCon

Most popular comic conventions require fans to stand in long lines, purchase tickets and attend in person. But luckily, WitcherCon is making it far easier for The Witcher fans, who will be able to participate from the comfort of their own home.

WitcherCon will stream on Netflix. It will also be available on CD Projekt Red’s Twitch and Youtube channels.

What ‘The Witcher’ fans can expect from WitcherCon

WitcherCon will kick off with The Witcher Season 2: Deck of Destiny, a star-studded panel featuring Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, Mimi M. Khayisa, Paul Bullion, and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. The discussion will be followed by GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, an interactive card battle requiring skill and strategy.

Along with other deep-dives into the history and future of the video games, the event will feature Geralt of T-rivia, a trivia game panel that will test the knowledge of The Witcher experts, including Hissrich.

In The Witcher: Beyond Video Games, Rafał Jaki, Bartosz Sztybor, and Łukasz Woźniak will discuss the franchise’s upcoming comic books and board games.

Tales from the White Wolf: A Spotlight Conversation with Henry Cavill will feature The Witcher himself, Henry Cavill. In the segment, which is to be hosted by Josh Horowitz, Cavill will talk about the series and the larger franchise and will surprise fans with a few exclusive new details about season 2.

What is ‘The Witcher’ season 2 release date?

With all this excitement surrounding the series, fans may be wondering when they’ll see Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) back in action. But unfortunately, Netflix has not yet announced an official release date.

Production was delayed earlier this year due to Cavill’s leg injury and pandemic-related issues. Hopefully, via WitcherCon, viewers will get an update on The Witcher season 2 and perhaps even get a premiere date.
