There’s One Good Reason For Kate Middleton and Prince William to Have a Fourth Baby Soon

It’s only been slightly more than a year since Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their third child into the world, yet for royal fans, that’s not enough. For the past few months, fans have been speculating that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge might be planning to announce another pregnancy soon. And it turns out they have good reason to be suspicious.

The whole thing started when Kate Middleton admitted to feeling “broody” (the British equivalent of desiring more children) during a royal walkabout in Northern Ireland earlier this year. Though at the time she said a fourth pregnancy would make her husband Prince William “nervous,” that didn’t stop people from assuming it could happen anyway.

It’s not just strangers making the Duchess of Cambridge feel the urge for more children. Studies show that pregnancy is “contagious,” and the more people around you having babies, the more likely you are to conceive yourself. That’s why it’s so intriguing that two people very close to Kate Middleton just had babies.

First, Prince William’s sister-in-law Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed gorgeous baby Archie on May 6, 2019. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expressed their congratulations and excitement over the new baby. Feud rumors aside, the Cambridges seemed enamored by Archie and eager to welcome him into the family.

Next, one of Kate Middleton’s closest friends, Sophie Snuggs, gave birth to a baby girl on June 21. Snuggs is Princess Charlotte’s godmother and has a close connection to the royal family. There’s a good chance the Duchess of Cambridge has already met and snuggled her good friend’s little one which could have her feeling broodier than ever.

Middleton might want to emulate Queen Elizabeth

The royal fans who are speculating that Prince William and Kate Middleton might want another baby like to draw comparisons between the future monarch and his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. She had four children herself, which may serve as inspiration for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to create a similarly sized family.

Of course, Prince Harry just went on record saying he’s not planning to have more than two kids due to the strain that large families place on the environment. But Prince William has already exceeded these parameters. What’s one more?

They’ll probably plan to have another baby soon

If the Cambridges do plan to expand their family by one more, they’ll most likely do it sooner rather than later. Kate Middleton is already 37 years old which is considered advanced maternal age by most medical professionals. Plus, with her history of pregnancy complications such as hyperemesis gravidarum, Kate Middleton would be wise to have another baby sooner to make things easier on herself.

The decision to have more children (or not) is no one’s business. But with all the new babies in Kate Middleton’s inner circle, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising if she and Prince William decided to have a fourth. If that baby is a boy? She’d have an identical family to Queen Elizabeth, who also has three boys and one girl!
