These Are The Fast Food Eateries Famous Chefs Love

Celebrity chefs are expected to have high expectations for food. After all, their entire careers are based on crafting culinary masterpieces, but celebrity chefs are just like regular people. They like to indulge in some culinary guilty pleasures every so often, too, and that includes fast food. You might be surprised to find out which fast-food restaurants celebrity chefs adore.

In-N-Out Burger tops the list for many celebrity chefs

The West Coast staple, In-N-Out, is something of a unicorn for those residing on the east coast. While many have heard of it, not everyone has gotten a chance to eat at one. Celebrity chefs, however, are flocking to the burger joint, and several of them have cited the eatery as their top fast food option.

Gordon Ramsey has admitted to adoring the 4×4 animal style burger. The notoriously cranky Ramsey said, “People think Americans are obese and burgers are bad for them—they are delicious. In-N-Out burgers were extraordinary. I was so bad, I sat in the restaurant, had my double cheeseburger then minutes later I drove back round and got the same thing again to take away.” Ramsey isn’t the only celebrity chef who adores In-N-Out. Guy Feiri and Tyler Florence are both massive fans of the West Coast chain.

Feiri also enjoys a good meal at Shake Shack but admits In-N-Out is his real, fast food love. Alton Brown, famed for his Food Network show, Good Eats, also enjoys the California-based burger joint. All told, it looks like In-N-Out has the seal of approval from most celebrity chefs.

KFC and Chipotle are also favorites

While In-N-Out is the clear winner for most celebrity chefs, it isn’t the only fast-food restaurant they are willing to frequent. Tyson Cole likes to indulge in a burrito bowl or crispy tacos from Chipotle when he has a craving for southwest flavors. Cole loves to mix things up with his meats, too. According to the Huffington Post, he enjoys two pork tacos and one chicken taco when he can get to a chipotle. Cole has appeared on Iron Chef and is an acclaimed sushi chef in Austin, Texas.

Justin Warner, famed for his appearance on Food Network Star, is also a massive fan of Chipotle. His order is a complicated one. He loads up on meats, beans, and salsa. He does, however, leave off the sour cream and guacamole.

Maybe I should run for city council.

Michael Psilakis has appeared on several television shows to showcase his culinary abilities. Looking remarkably like Michael Symon, Psilakis has appeared on Iron Chef America, Ultimate Recipe Showdown, and No Kitchen Required. When he’s not busy running a restaurant or appearing on TV, he likes to treat himself to KFC, according to Mashed.

You won’t catch Martha Stewart in a McDonald’s

Martha Stewart’s culinary career has spanned several decades, but she refuses to get involved in the fast-food world. Stewart once described In-N-Out as just “okay.” She also claims to have only eaten McDonald’s twice and Burger King once. Apparently, that was enough for her because, at the end of the day, she claims to prefer sushi or salad over a greasy burger.

Now the original celebrity chef had a completely different take on things than Stewart. Julia Child, the woman who brought French cuisine to American kitchens, was surprisingly okay with fast food. She told Time that she didn’t care for the Big Mac, but was surprisingly delighted by McDonald’s French fries. Ina Garten insists she will gleefully eat In-N-Out burger because she knows Julia Child liked it, too.
