These Photos of Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Show They Really Do Have Fun Together

While the world contemplates the small wave, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gave to her sister-in-law Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge at the Commonwealth Day service on March 10, 2020, we’re taking a look back at five times the duchesses had fun together.

Since Meghan’s relationship with Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex began in 2017, there’s been speculation surrounding the dynamics between the former “fab four” i.e. Meghan, Catherine, Harry, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Fab four no more, in Jan. 2020 Meghan and Harry announced they were stepping down as senior members of the British royal family. They’ve already had the last of their officially scheduled royal engagements so now we’re reflecting on fun moments between Catherine and Meghan.

They went to church together on Christmas Day in 2017

Keeping with tradition in the British royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined relatives as they walked to church at Sandringham on Christmas Day in 2017. However, one break from tradition occurred when Queen Elizabeth II gave Harry permission to bring his then-fiancée, Meghan, along for the holiday festivities usually reserved for official family only.

Meghan, who hadn’t yet become the Duchess of Sussex, looked at ease walking with her future sister-in-law. Although it was a fun and festive event, Meghan’s presence showed the public just how serious Harry had been about making her part of the British royal family.
