These Three Celebrities Share Their Social Media Passwords With Their Significant Others
Did you know that two-thirds of American couples share their email and social media passwords? Tech News notes that new research shows the vast majority of couples are open and honest about their social media passwords. It’s not just regular couples either; celebrities are lumped into that group, too. In fact, there are several high-profile couples who have openly admitted to sharing their passwords with their significant other.
Jill and Derick Dillard monitor each other’s social media
Jill and Derick Dillard are famous for being a part of the ultra-conservative Christian Duggar family. When they got married in 2014, they agreed to a completely open and honest relationship. Two kids later, the couple is opening up on their family blog about their relationship and sex life. Derick Dillard admitted that he and his wife share their social media passwords.
They’ve taken things a step further, too. Not only do they have access to everything from email to social media, but they utilize a filtering software that makes sure they aren’t looking at anything remotely inappropriate. They use a product called Covenant Eyes. The filtering software also sends a weekly report to the administrator so they can see what everyone on the account is looking at. Some fans believe the level of transparency might be problematic, though.
Hailey Baldwin slipped up on social media
Hailey Baldwin accidentally commented on a post from her husband’s account back in August 2019. The model and newlywed quickly rectified the situation, but fans noticed exactly what happened. Baldwin has since admitted she has her husband’s password, according to Life and Style.
Several fans noted that they thought the password sharing was toxic and that every couple needs a bit of privacy, some fans found the sentiment sweet, though. One suggested that password sharing should be the norm between husband and wife. While the couple is practicing transparency in their marriage, breakup rumors will not be extinguished.
Chrissy Teigen runs her posts past John Legend
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have a romance for the ages. Teigen is also a prolific Twitter poster. While the wildly popular mother of two has never mentioned if she and Legend share their passwords with each other, they’ve both been honest about how they utilize their platforms while in a relationship.
Legend has noted that Teigen often runs tweets by him before sending them out, but only if she asks. He said that she never asks him to review tweets about him, though. Legend told Ellen DeGeneres that he’d be sitting next to her, and suddenly get alerted that she’s tweeted something. More often than not, those tweets are about him. It’s all in good fun, it seems.
