This Is What Chrissy Teigen Would Be If She Weren’t a Model and Celebrity
Chrissy Teigen is one of the funniest celebrities on social media, and one of the most relatable, in spite of her lavish lifestyle. She loves to interact with her followers and often shares personal stories and anecdotes that help her fans feel even closer to her.
Recently, Teigen did a Twitter Q&A where she answered lots of questions about life as a celebrity, her kids, her marriage to John Legend, and her own personal aspirations. Keep reading to learn how Teigen became famous, what she’s best known for now, and what she would choose to do if she wasn’t a well-known model and home cook.
How did Chrissy Teigen become famous?
Teigen was born in 1985, and as a child, moved around quite a bit, living with her family in Idaho, Washington, and eventually, California. Teigen was a cheerleader in high school and was “discovered” by a photographer when she was working in a surf shop.
Teigen followed the photographer’s advice and submitted her photo to a modeling agency. Soon, Teigen’s career took off, and she began modeling for brands like Maxim, Olay, and Nike.
Teigen did small stints on several television shows (including Deal or No Deal) and also found work as a music video model. In fact, it was on the set of the music video for John Legend‘s song “Stereo” where Teigen and Legend first crossed paths, beginning one of the most famous relationships in Hollywood.
Her romance with Legend helped to boost her career to new heights and she became very popular on social media.
What is Chrissy Teigen best known for?
While Teigen has mostly left the world of modeling behind, she has gained an even better career in the food world. Teigen’s very popular food blog eventually gave way to two bestselling cookbooks and a brand-new cooking website.
Teigen also has an exclusive line of cookware with Target and is routinely looked to as one of the best-known home chefs and a star of the celebrity food scene.
Teigen has remained very vocal and outspoken on social media and doesn’t shy away from discussing politics or other difficult subjects. The star was open about her experience with postpartum depression and many of her fans have spoken out about how much she has helped them due to her honesty.
All in all, with how popular Teigen is, it might come as a shock to many that she has actually considered other careers.
What would Chrissy Teigen’s alternate career be?
In her December 8th Twitter Q&A, Teigen revealed a lot of interesting facts to her followers. She fessed up to having a “junk drawer” (and shared a photo to boot), revealed that she and John Legend have four nannies for their two children, and stated that she sometimes misses being able to go to the grocery store like normal people.
When asked what she would choose to do if she wasn’t famous, Teigen responded that she would like to be a teacher, most likely for pre-k students.
This is not the first time that Teigen has copped to her preference for a career in childcare. She previously admitted that she never really thought that she would be a good model and that she would either be a teacher or do “something with food” if she had to choose something different.
Most of Teigen’s fans would agree that it would be a big loss to social media and popular media if she were to decide to step away from the fame game.
