This Is What Demi Moore Blames For Her Split With Ashton Kutcher
For eight years, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were known as one of the cutest couples in Hollywood. Some fans were a little shocked when news first broke that Moore was dating Kutcher, who is 15 years younger than her. But the shock had quickly worn off after they saw how happy they made each other.
Even though the couple seemed to really care about each other, the both decided to call it quits in 2013. Recently, Moore wrote a book chronicling the main events in her life.
In the book, she opens up about what were some of the contributing factors that led to the demise of their relationship. The revelation was quite surprising and it had nothing to do with their age difference.
When did Demi Moore start dating Ashton Kutcher?
Moore and Kutcher first met each other in 2003 while they were both having dinner with friends in New York. The two were said to have hit it off immediately. At the dinner, they had reportedly talked for hours and realized that they had a lot in common.
At the time, their relationship had shocked many people, including Moore’s oldest daughter Rumer Willis. Willis was said to have had posters of Kutcher on her wall when she was younger. So, having him as a potential step-dad had to be a little weird for her at first.
On September 24, 2005, two years after they started dating, the couple had said “I do,” and officially became husband and wife. Apparently, Willis had eventually gotten over the weirdness that she felt by having her mom date Kutcher.
By the time that Kutcher and Moore had tied the knot, Kutcher was considered to be a valued member of the family and even got along great with Moore’s ex-husband, Bruce Willis. Kutcher also seemed to get along well with all three of Moore’s daughter, and they were quickly becoming one big happy family.
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher soon start to see trouble in paradise
Kutcher and Moore’s marriage seemed to be going great until Kutcher got caught cheating. In 2010, a 21-year-old woman named Sara Leal told several tabloids that she and Kutcher were intimate one night when they both attended a party. According to Leal, Kutcher had walked up to her and kissed her. After that, the pair decided to get the hot tub together while naked.
It wasn’t long after that when another 21-year-old woman, named Brittney Jones, claimed she also had an affair with Kutcher. The two had actually met at a bowling alley while Kutcher was attending his step daughter’s birthday party. Jones claimed that the two had exchanged numbers and decided to meet at Kutcher’s house when Moore was out of town.
According to reports, the affair took place at the house that Kutcher shared with Moore shared together.
Demi Moore thinks that this one thing is what ended her marriage
Moore recently wrote her memoir, entitled Inside Out, where she gets very candid about the good and bad parts of her life. One of the many things that she had talked in-depth about was her marriage to Kutcher. The book is not set to go on sale until September 24, but US Weekly was able to obtain a few excerpts from the book.
According to US Weekly, Moore admits that Kutcher’s infidelity was one of the things that had led to her divorce. However, she blames his infidelity on the fact that she had agreed to have a threesome with him when they were married. Moore claims that she did not want to do it, but she felt pressured by her ex-husband and she wanted to seem like a “cool wife.”
In the book, Moore says that she had found out that Kutcher had an affair with Leal because she read about it on the internet. Moore claims that she knew it was true and that her husband did, in fact, cheat on her.
Kutcher had admitted that he did cheat on her, but he blamed the fact that they had had a threesome on his infidelity. “Because we had brought a third party into our relationship. Ashton said that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he’d done,” Moore wrote.
The pair separated shortly after Moore found about the affair and their divorce was finalized in 2013.
