This Is Why Jax Taylor Was Ready to Quit ‘Vanderpump Rules’
Jax Taylor once threatened to leave Vanderpump Rules because his co-star, Tom Sandoval, refused to open up in front of the cameras. In a new interview, Taylor admitted that he threatened to quit Lisa Vanderpump’s reality show because he felt like Sandoval was hiding things from viewers, including his relationship issues. While Taylor was airing all of his dirty laundry on the show, he grew frustrated that Sandoval was not pulling his own weight.
Taylor threatens to quit ‘Vanderpump Rules’
Over the past seven seasons of Vanderpump Rules, Taylor has frequently been viewed as the bad guy of the show. This is largely due to editing restraints and producers wanting to put the juiciest storylines on the air, but Taylor also hasn’t done much to help his image.
Despite all of the negative coverage, Taylor says he is not bitter about playing the bad guy role over the years. He was, however, angry that some of his co-stars were not being truthful in front of the cameras.
According to Reality Blurb, Taylor recently opened up about the time he almost quit Vanderpump Rules because of the way Sandoval was hiding some of his relationship issues. Taylor felt like he was sharing everything about his personal life and that his co-stars should do the same.
“Tom Sandoval never talks about his relationship. They’re very good about talking things without talking about the things” Taylor explained. “I went to production, I’m like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I’m bleeding for you guys. I never say ‘no’ when [some of the] cast would just say, ‘No, I’m not talking about that.’”
Taylor went on to say that just about every cast member has cheated on their significant other, outside of Brittany Cartwright and Ariana Madix. But he has always been tagged as the bad person because all of his scandals make it onto the show.
Taylor opens up about his marriage issues
Speaking of opening up, Taylor also dished on the rumors surrounding his marriage to Brittany Cartwright. The couple exchanged vows earlier this year and the footage will air this season on Vanderpump Rules. But ever since they said “I do” they have been slammed with rumors that their relationship is on the rocks.
Amid the rumors, Taylor admitted that his marriage is still a “work in progress,” mainly because of the fact that he cheated on Cartwright two years ago. He has remained faithful since then, but his actions are still an ongoing issue.
“It’s still a work in progress. It’s only been about three years [since I cheated] but I’ve made a lot of changes,” Taylor shared.
As Vanderpump Rules fans will recall, Taylor hooked up with Faith Stowers in season 6 of the reality show. The scandal led to a brief falling out between Taylor and Cartwright, though he eventually came to his senses.
In the same interview, Taylor revealed that his cheating scandal made him realize that he was being a “sh**ty human being.” And at the end of the day, he did not want to hurt Cartwright, who has always supported him through the rough times.
Are Taylor and Sandoval still feuding?
When it comes to his relationship with Sandoval, Taylor recently blocked him on social media (along with a few other co-stars).
But as far as Sandoval is concerned, he is not taking the snub too seriously. In a recent interview, the Vanderpump Rules star revealed that he is not sure what happened between him and Taylor and that the block could have been an accident.
After all, Taylor also blocked Kristen Doute and Scheana Shay, both of whom recently hung out at his house.
That said, Madix revealed that she does not think Taylor blocked them on accident and believes he may have just been having a bad day.
What’s really odd is that Taylor’s wife is still following Madix, Sandoval, and Doute. Fortunately, Taylor recently opened up about why he blocked his co-stars – and his answer might surprise you.
Why does Taylor block his ‘Vanderpump Rules’ co-stars on social media?
Turns out, Taylor blocked his co-stars on Instagram because he was going through another one of his mood phases. The Vanderpump Rules star was apparently tired of seeing their stories on Instagram so, instead of muting their feeds, he decided to block them altogether.
Taylor has since unblocked Doute, though he said Sandoval and Madix will continue to be blocked until he changes his mind.
While Taylor has blocked their accounts, he still considers them friends. In fact, Taylor admitted that Sandoval is his best friend and that the rest of his c-stars are “great people.” He just needed a break from all the drama, which we can totally understand.
“I think they’re great people and I love them. I mean, Tom’s my best friend. I just need a break,” Taylor said.
