There are a lot of stunning women in the world, but according to a new study, one particular woman stands head and shoulders above the rest.

The supermodel in question is relatively new to the world of fashion modeling but has made a big splash in the industry during her time on the catwalk.

In mid-October, a London-based plastic surgeon did a study with the goal of revealing the most beautiful woman in the world.

Obviously, the pool of candidates was limited to celebrities and other well-known public figures, but still, the results were very interesting.

The surgeon used a facial mapping system that originated with the Ancient Greeks in order to determine the winners — the mapping system is known as the “Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.”

The ratio examines facial features to determine the symmetry of facial features like chin, nose, and cheekbones and was utilized in the days of classical art by people such as Leonardo da Vinci in order to assess the beauty of their artistic subjects.

Out of the multitude of beautiful women analyzed for the survey, supermodel Bella Hadid emerged the clear winner, with a 94.35% perfection score.

Hadid is a well-known model with a famous family and over the past several years, she has become one of the industry’s “it” girls.

Hadid began her modeling career in 2012. She’s not the only member of her family, which also includes Yolanda Hadid, formerly married to music producer David Foster, to become a model — her older sister Gigi Hadid had already made a name for herself in the industry.

Bella Hadid’s original plan was to become an equestrian, but following her Lyme disease diagnosis, she made a career change and went on to achieve great success.

Hadid’s personal life has made headlines as well. Hadid’s longest-lasting relationship has been with the musician The Weeknd. The two first started dating in early 2015 and went through several breakups and makeups in the years that followed.

Currently, Hadid and The Weeknd are reportedly dating again, although neither of them likes to talk openly about their relationship. Still, as far as Hadid’s career goes, things couldn’t be going better.

The model is one of the most in-demand faces in the industry, and for good reason, it seems — considering the recent study.

Who were some of the runners-up?

While Bella Hadid was the clear winner of the study by several points, several other famous women earned honors as runners-up.

The iconic singer Beyonce earned second place, with a 92.44% perfection score, and Amber Heard at third place with a 91.85% perfection score.

It’s no surprise that Beyonce took second-place honors since the singer is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful women in the world, but Heard seemed to come out of nowhere. The actress isn’t well known by many fans, with her biggest film being Aquaman, opposite Jason Momoa.

Fourth and fifth place in the study went to Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, both singers with very passionate fanbases.

While the study certainly isn’t conclusive and was likely done more for fun than anything else, people certainly have enjoyed debating the results online – many of Beyonce’s more rabid fans took issue with the study’s results, and protested that Beyonce should have won top honors.
