‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ is the fourth solo film for Chris Hemsworth’s character

Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will likely be the only one of the original six Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe who will be part of the cinema side of phase 4. He’s also the first central Marvel character to have their solo series reach four movies.

According to Cinema Blend, Hemsworth is returning for Thor: Love and Thunder, along with Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) and Natalie Portman (Jane Foster). As most fans know by now, Jane will be transforming into The Mighty Thor in the upcoming sequel.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are also expected to make an appearance. After all, the God of Thunder did leave Earth with them at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), and Pom Klementieff (Mantis) have already been spotted in Australia.

The primary villain in the film will be Gorr the God Butcher. Christian Bale is ditching DC and heading over to Marvel to play the alien who yields the “All-Black the Necrosword.”

One of Hollywood’s biggest stars sparks Marvel rumors after being spotted in Australia

According to News.com.au, Matt Damon and his family recently arrived in Sydney, Australia, on a private jet. Apparently, the Oscar winner has begun quarantining in preparation for a cameo in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Currently, it’s unknown what role Damon will play in Taika Waititi’s sequel or how big his part will be. But, the expectation is that Damon will reprise the uncredited role he played in Thor: Ragnarok.

Fans will remember that Damon’s unnamed character was one of the Asgardian thespians. He played the role of Loki on stage alongside Luke Hemsworth as “fake Thor.” The two were putting on a performance of events from Thor: The Dark World.

It was a brief cameo from Damon, and fans never saw what happened to his character during Hela’s attack and Surtur’s destruction of Asgard. But if Damon is reprising the same role, it’s safe to say his character made it to the lifeboat and to the escape pod during Thanos’ attack.

However, there’s also the possibility that Damon could be playing a completely different character. And, he could be making a lot more than just a cameo.
