In the world of comedy, Tiffany Haddish is rapidly becoming a household name. And if you’re curious about her personal life, know the star is single.

As for what she’s looking for, Haddish isn’t keeping it a secret. The talented stand-up comedian and hilarious star of Girl’s Trip recently appeared with Ellen DeGeneres where she revealed her three must-haves in a romantic partner.

Tiffany Sarac Haddish was born in 1979 in South Central Los Angeles to an African American mother and an African father. She and her four half-siblings wound up in foster care after their mother was seriously injured in a car accident.

Haddish has revealed she started telling jokes to make her schizophrenic mother laugh, Haddish soon realized she had serious comedic possibilities. She struggled as a young comic in LA. Homeless and living in her car at one point, she was befriended by Kevin Hart who aided her in getting off the street.

Hart reportedly gave her $300 to get a hotel room and make a list of all the things she wanted to accomplish. Haddish has accomplished all those things and more. And Hart reportedly has continued to refuse to accept reimbursement for this kindness.

How Tiffany Haddish attained success

Haddish got her first big break in stand-up comedy by landing spots in Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?, Damon Wayans’ The Underground, and Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam. Additional television exposure came when she appeared in small roles in My Name is Earl, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and That’s So Raven.

She then landed recurring roles in BET’s The Real Husbands of Hollywood, Tyler Perry’s If Loving You is Wrong, and NBC’s The Carmichael Show. Her biggest break came when she was cast in the 2017 film, Girl’s Trip, co-starring with Regina King, Queen Latifah, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

After Girl’s Trip, the floodgates of success opened for Haddish. She wrote her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, based on the struggles she endured growing up. In the book, she describes how a wart on her forehead led to her being bullied and given the nickname Unicorn when she was in school.

Haddish was cast in the television comedy series, The Last O.G., starring Tracy Morgan, where she plays Morgan’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of the twins he didn’t know he had.

According to IMDB, Haddish’s upcoming projects include Bad Trip, a film about two friends who embark on a road trip to prank people using hidden cameras; Like a Boss, again about two friends who start a beauty company together; and, Here Today, about a comedy writer who is losing his grip on reality. She will star as Lelia, in Madam C.J. Walker, a television series based on the story of a hair care pioneer who would become America’s first black self-made millionaire.

Tiffany Haddish was married before

Haddish was married twice before but to the same guy. Claiming William Stewart was physically abusive, she filed a restraining order after a black eye and bruises all over her body were apparently caused by him. According to Oxygen Crime News, Stewart retaliated by suing her for defamation over the abuse allegations. A trial date has been set for early 2020.

These are Tiffany Haddish’s must-haves

During a fake game show segment with Ellen DeGeneres, Haddish revealed what she looks for in a man. “Good credit, no kids, and more money than me!” she quickly answered.

When DeGeneres asked her what if the guy had the other two qualities, but maybe had one child, she answered that she could work with that. More money than she has means the guy would have to be a millionaire before Haddish would be willing to go out with him. Her net worth is currently in the vicinity of $4 million. With all the projects she is currently involved in, that number will be climbing soon.
