Tiffany Haddish Just Shared How She Lost 40 Pounds During Quarantine

As a result, many of us have had much more sedentary lifestyles than we’ve had in the past, which is extremely difficult to circumvent with an airborne virus outside. While many of us are just focused on our mental well-being and remaining healthy, some people have used the pandemic as an opportunity for physical wellness.
Comedian Tiffany Haddish just revealed that while she’s been at home and her projects have been stalled, she’s been focused on her health and weight loss. The Girls Trip actor just revealed that she lost 40 pounds in the past year. This is how she did it.

For Haddish, who has always been open and comfortable with her body, losing weight was all about strength. In fact, she was inspired to get into shape by the late Florence Griffith Joyner, who still holds the title of the fastest woman in the world.
“I had this thought in my mind that I want the body of Flo-Jo!” Haddish told People. Though she’s already made a ton of progress on her weight loss journey, the Night School actor is going harder as the end of the year approaches.

Amid her physical transformation, Haddish learned that the key to everything was monitoring her diet. “I’ve been eating differently, eating way more vegetables, definitely eating directly out of my garden and just really putting in the work, making sure I sweat every single day and staying up on nutrition – nutrition is everything,” she explained to People.
Haddish has always spoken glowingly about her diet, and making sure she focused on getting fresh vegetables appears to be the key to her transformation. “During this COVID period, I’ve lost 40 pounds,” she explained.

While nutrition is a major component of weight loss, Haddish has always made sure to move, which she did well before starting her 30 Day Transformation. The actor explained that she works out “anywhere from 15 minutes to sometimes two hours.”
For the LA-born comedian, it’s not all about killing yourself in the gym. “I try to dance every day for like five to 10 minutes,” she explained. “I think that’s really important, too: Make it fun!”
