TLC’s Summer Premieres Will Feature More Supersized Families: ‘Outdaughtered’ and ‘Sweet Home Sextuplets’ Return
TLC’s reigning mega family. the Duggars. may have wrapped their most recent season, but that doesn’t mean the network that’s made its name for itself by finding unique families to film doesn’t have something to keep you interested all summer long. The network announced that both Sweet Home Sextuplets and Outdaughtered are both slated to return.
What is Sweet Home Sextuplets about?
Season 1 of Sweet Home Sextuplets followed the Waldrop family as they adjusted to life as a family of 11. Sextuplets, Blu, Layke, Rawlings, Rayne Rivers and Tag joined their big brothers, Salor, Wales, and Bridge during Season 1.
Outnumbered and overworked, mom and dad, Courtney and Eric had to figure out a way to make it all work, and they managed it just fine, but new challenges await them in season 2. Fans will get a chance to watch the Waldrops battle over a housing crisis and work through medical issues while trying to keep their family healthy, happy, fed, and clean.
Sweet Home Sextuplets Season 2 will air on May 28, 2019. Episode one will recap the first year of the sextuplet’s lives. Episode two, which airs on June 4, will follow the family as they celebrate the holidays amid epic meltdowns.
What is Outdaughtered all about?
Adam and Danielle Busby are the parents to the country’s first all-female quintuplets. The five girls, now four years old, are heavily invested in testing boundaries, and there doesn’t seem to be a quiet moment in the house. Adam and Danielle are also facing their own big decisions in the upcoming season with a potential move on the horizon.
Add in the couple’s 8-year-old daughter Blayke, and the family is always on the move, but can they sync up and work as a team? TLC intends to let fans know soon. The show will officially return for its summer premiere on June 11.
Does TLC have anything else up their sleeve for the summer?
TLC has had great success this last year with their reality-based programming. Sister Wives and Seeking Sister Wife remained massive hits for the network, and now they are moving into brand new territory.
