The ‘To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You’ Trailer Dropped and Fans Are Ready for a Shipping War
It’s official. The first To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You trailer is here. The sequel to Netflix’s beloved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before will pick up with Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky officially dating. Like the first movie, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You will feature a love triangle. Except this time, Lara Jean’s old friend John Ambrose McClaren returns.
The movies are based off of a book series by author Jenny Han. Anyone who is familiar with Han’s writing knows that all of the characters in the series are well written. Meaning fans of To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You are fully prepared for a shipping war once the movie comes out on Feb. 12, 2020.
Peter Kavinsky won fans over in ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before premiered on Netflix in 2018. After the movie came out, Noah Centineo’s character Peter Kavinsky became everyone’s ideal boyfriend. Centineo shot up in popularity, and fans have anxiously awaited the sequel.
“my covinsky heart can’t handle all the cute scenes we got in this trailer #PSIStillLoveYou #tatbilb,” tweeted a fan.
“peter kavinsky & lara jean have my entire heart and support for the rest of my life and i’m having all the butterflies right now i’m gonna cry bye #PSIStillLoveYou,” wrote a Twitter user.
“knowing i’m gonna be the only convinsky stan left after everyone jumps ship for john ambrose in #PSIStillLoveYou but i’m loyal to my man peter k,” one fan tweeted.
Other fans are ready for John Ambrose McClaren
While some fans of the book series love Peter, others started shipping Lara Jean with John after reading P.S. I Still Love You. Jordan Fisher was cast as John, making the character even more lovable.
“JOHN AMBROSE NATION WE RIDE AT DAWN,” wrote a fan on Twitter.
“i said this before in my book stan acc but ill say this again here. john ambrose mcclaren is the best boy ever he is the sweetest kindest and most considerate character it should have been him that ended up with lara jean (im sorry peter kavinsky but i stand by what i said),” a fan tweeted.
‘P.S. I Still Love You’ will probably cause a shipping war
At the end of the day, Lana Condor’s character Lara Jean remains the center of the series. Her happiness is what fans care about, and both Peter and John clearly have a lot going for them. Because of how great both characters are, fans of To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You know the movie will cause a shipping war.
“Me when reading P.S. I Still Love You: ‘ugh I don’t care for this love triangle it’s Peter K all day everyday’ Me after watching the trailer for P.S. I Still Love You: ‘I mean unless……’ #PSIStillLoveYou,” tweeted a fan.
“I just know the Lara Jean & Peter Kavinsky vs Lara Jean & John Ambrose shipper war is gonna be brutal… #PSIStillLoveYou,” a Twitter user wrote.
Condor herself tweeted, “#PSIStillLoveYou my heart is literally torn between Peter K and John Ambrose … and I’m in the movie. Oh… I’m suddenly realizing how unprepared I am for this roller coaster of emotions…”
