Tom Brady’s Bizarre Pre-Game Rituals Are Designed By His ‘Good Witch’ Wife, Gisele Bundchen

Plenty of athletes are superstitious, or at the very least engage in certain habits before games in order to ensure a win. We’ve all heard of baseball players who refuse to change their socks during playoffs and soccer stars who enjoy specific meals before the big game. But when it comes to Tom Brady’s rituals, things get strange really quickly.

People love to call Tom Brady the GOAT – that’s greatest of all time. They’ve got plenty of statistical evidence to back up that claim, even if many sports fans can’t stand the middle-aged Patriots quarterback. How does Brady do it? Natural talent, for one. But his status could have something to do with his supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen’s influence.

Tom Brady recently revealed all the rituals his wife encourages him to do before games and they are… unique, to say the least.

What rituals does Tom Brady do before a football game?

Six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, 41, sat back in a barber’s chair at the Gillette World Shaving Headquarters. That’s where he opened up about exactly how his wife Gisele influences his routines before the big game.

“You know I’ve learned a lot from my wife over the years,” he said. “She’s so about the power of intention and believing things that are really going to happen.”

Brady admitted that her methods are “kind of crazy,” but he does them anyway. He said she “always makes a little altar for me at the game because she just wills it so much.” The area includes photos of the couple’s children for motivation.

“And I have these little special stones and healing stones and protection stones and she has me wear a necklace and take these drops she makes, I say all these mantras,” Brady said. “And I stopped questioning her a long time ago. I just shut up and listen.”

Do the pre-game rituals work?

Of course, going through elaborate ceremonies means nothing if they don’t actually work. Does Tom Brady believe in the rituals?

“About four years ago we were playing the Seahawks and she said ‘you better listen to me, this is your year, but this is all the things you’re going to have to do to win,’ and I did all those things and by God, you know, it worked,” Brady explained. He said that Bundchen knew the Patriots would lose in 2015 – which they did.

What did Gisele Bundchen say about the Super Bowl in 2019?

Brady claims his wife Gisele accurately predicted the outcome of the Super Bowl again this year. When he asked if he’d emerge victorious, she responded positively. He explained, “She said, ‘yeah, but you’re going to have to do a lot of work and you’re really going to have to listen to me. So man, I listen to her.”

“She said you’re lucky you married a witch – I’m just a good witch,” Brady said.

Is Gisele Bundchen a witch? Probably not. But the power of intention is a real phenomenon, and self-confidence goes a long way. Just ask Tom Brady.
