Tom Holland’s Instagram Fans Think He Looks Like Eminem Now That He Cut All His Hair Off

There’s been a lot of buzz around Tom Holland ever since he was introduced as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While a number of actors have taken on the superhero, it’s the 23-year-old actor who’s played Spider the most. And while his beloved character was nearly at risk of being cut from the MCU altogether, Spider-Man is back — and it looks like Holland helped make that happen.

Holland isn’t just a one-note actor, however. He’s branching out into new roles, and one of those roles required he shave his head. Fans have been reacting to the look ever since it occurred, and they’re now saying on Instagram that he looks just like infamous rapper Eminem.

While fans are used to seeing Holland with the cut he’s had for years playing Spider-Man, a lot has changed. Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Avengers: Endgame, are working on a new movie, Cherry, in which Holland is starring.

Cherry chronicles the real life of former Army medic Nico Walker who returned from Iraq with undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder, Variety explains. Walker dealt with opioid addiction and even robbed banks in the wake of his return from war, and he was eventually caught in 2011.

We’re excited to hear more about the film as it comes (or for Holland to start discussing it), as he’s known for accidentally providing spoilers to fans before. For now, we’re getting all the info piecemeal and through social media. And it looks like Holland is finally starting to give us a few sneak peeks via Instagram of what we can expect from Cherry.

He reportedly likes the look of his shaved head

Fans were shocked when Holland first shaved his head, but it looks like he’s a fan of the new look. According to Insider, Holland said, “I really like it,” during a panel with Jake Gyllenhaal at ACE Comic Con in Illinois back in mid-October. “I don’t know about you, but I really, really like it. It’s so much easier to manage. Quick towel dry and you’re done. I have no mousse in here, nothing.”

That’s not the only apparent difference fans will notice, either. To better portray Walker’s look, Holland is also losing a lot of weight. “That’s a film where I’m gonna get to explore emotions and stuff that I’ve never experienced before in life. I’m trying to lose weight and get really, really skinny,” Comic Book reveals Holland said at Keystone Comic Con back in August. “I’ve got six weeks, I’m booked in a bootcamp. But I’ve been running a lot recently, which is something I never do, and I’ve been training really hard and trying to get skinny.”

Fans think he looks like Eminem on Instagram

Holland’s shaved head has received a ton of reactions from fans. “It’s the worst, most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” one fan commented on a video of Holland from Digital Spy’s Instagram. Another wrote, “WHAT HAVE U DONE,” another questioned.

Not only are many outraged by the cut, but his followers are commented on another post of his and saying he looks exactly like the rapper Eminem.

“Why is Eminem robbing a bank??” one follower joked. Another wrote, “Mans looks like the dollar store Eminem.” Yet another added, “Eminem is that you?”

It doesn’t look like Holland is paying the Eminem comparison any mind. And we’re sure once fans see his performance, they’ll be blown away by his acting and less obsessed with his hair. For now, the hair comments won’t let up, however.
