‘Too Hot to Handle’: Francesca Thinks Only the Contestants Who Grew Deserved to Win (Like Her and Harry)

Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey connected right away on the first season of Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle. They connected so much, they ended up costing their housemates a whopping $32,000.

Francesca says she and Harry both broke the rules of the show an equal amount

Though Harry initiated the couple’s first kiss (and then lied about it), Francesca says they went back and forth throughout their time on the show deciding if they should break the rules or not.

“We really went back and forth,” she told TVLine. “He didn’t want to break the rules on some days, and I was the one who really cared on other days. We honestly held off as much as we could, but there were particular moments where we just couldn’t hold off anymore. And we were like, ‘Screw it. Let’s just do what we have to do.’ We knew everybody was going to be upset with us, but whatever. I didn’t come here to make friends.”

But as fans who finished the season know, Francesca and Harry were given the opportunity to win back all the money they’d lost the group. To everyone’s surprise, they did it.

“It was very hard. There were definitely moments where I was like, ‘Screw it, let’s just do some hanky-panky. These people don’t need the money.’ But we really had learned so much, and it’s not just about us. We didn’t want to be selfish. So we played some games, we played hide-and-seek, he tied himself to a chair at one point, and it just ended up working out. We proved everyone wrong!” she said.

Francesca feels only she, Harry, and a few of the other contestants should have been awarded the prize money

At the end of the season, the contestants learned for certain that they’d be splitting the prize money. Francesca doesn’t think every contestant grew, so not everyone should have received a cut.

“When I stood up first, and then Harry stood up next, I was like, ‘Yes!’” she said. “I felt like a new person, and I knew Harry grew a lot as well. There were a few others [who also grew], but I thought the rest of the people in the group didn’t deserve any of the money at all. I was shocked when we all won. I know we’re all in this together, but of course I would have rather me and Harry just won it.”
