As all mothers know, taste buds change during pregnancy. And on one particular day, Fishel’s taste buds made her want shakes. On January 13, 2019, Fishel shared a picture of herself sipping on a shake from Ruby’s Shake Shop.

“Pregnancy cravings have been mostly salt related, (pre-pregnancy I had such a sweet tooth) BUT I have been craving milkshakes and nothing would do except my favorite Oreo chocolate shake, made by my best friend Ruby at @shakeshopnoho. Not an ad – they just make the best shakes. 🥛🤝🤰”

‘Napping with wild abandon’

The day her husband announced their pregnancy on the radio, Fishel shared a picture of baby shoes with a lengthy caption about what she’s been doing during her pregnancy thus far.

“I’m eating for two. I’m napping with wild abandon. Baby shoes. Baby clothes. (I’m shopping). I’m nesting. I’m reading books. I’m madly in love with my husband. I cry at commercials. I’m a walking cliché. I’ve got baby apps. I’m confident. I feel inadequate. I’m showing one day and the next I’m not. I’m nervous. I’m excited. He’s due in July. We can’t wait. #BabyKarp2019

Fishel on pregnancy: ‘very lucky’

Fishel told USA Today about her pregnancy saying she’s been lucky so far.

“I have been very lucky with a smooth and easy pregnancy,” Fishel said. “I didn’t have any morning sickness, but it hasn’t been without its emotional highs and lows.”

“And you envision being pregnant. But then you have this body that is taken over by something that is out of your control. And many days I weighed myself and would see the number on the scale go up and my logical mind said that’s realistic, you’re growing a human body,” Fishel added.

“On the other hand, I’m used to being in control. And I guess entering into motherhood, you have even less control of certain things and I’ll have to get used to that.”

She and Karp have a name they are “very fond of” already picked out for their son.

After Boy Meets World wrapped in 2000, Fishel went to college where she majored in psychology. She also starred in the Boy Meets World spinoff series, Girl Meets World.
