Tristan Thompson Claims That Khloé Kardashian Used His Cheating Scandal as a PR Stunt
Remember when we all learned in February that Tristan Thompson had allegedly cheated on Khloé Kardashian with Jordyn Woods? At the time, the NBA star barely said anything publicly. But he apparently wasn’t so quiet behind closed doors.
In the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, it was revealed that Thompson once accused Kardashian of using the scandal as a PR stunt.
A recap of the scandal
In case you missed it, Thompson allegedly made out with Kardashian’s longtime friend Jordyn Woods at a party back in February. It was the second time he’d allegedly cheated on Kardashian after he reportedly got caught making out with other women just days before she gave birth to their daughter, True, on April 12, 2018.
The scandal later became the focus of season 16 and 17 of KUWTK, where cameras captured everything from the famous family’s reactions to the drama to the fallout from the situation. It also prompted some of the best ratings in years. But the Kardashian-Jenners maintain that the affair was the real deal.
Kardashian reveals Thompson’s comments
The Good American co-founder spilled the beans during the Sept. 22 episode of the show. While speaking to Kim Kardashian West, she said that Thompson had accused her of using the scandal as a PR stunt.
“I had therapy with Tristan on Saturday. I desire to have a good coexisting relationship with him. But I can’t see myself ever being able to trust him,” she explained. “He said, ‘I know you and your family made this a big media thing.’ I’m like, ‘Would you think I would want this out there?!'”
“Not in a million years would you have wanted this public,” Kim replied. “That’s what people perceive.”
“At the end of the day, it’s already out there,” Kardashian said. “If Tristan was gonna cheat, he was gonna cheat, it was gonna be public at some point. I’m so offended it had to be with her.”
Things have since gotten better
Well, things have kind of improved.
Over the past few months, Thompson has reportedly tried to mend their romantic relationship in the sweetest ways. He allegedly sought advice from Drake, bought her a fancy car, and leaves flirty messages on her social media pages. However, Kardashian hasn’t been so receptive.
The reality star said in a September interview that that chapter of her life is “closed.”
She added: “I want all of us to move on and to be happy, successful people. I just want everyone to just be better people with each day and that’s genuinely how I feel.”
But she does try to keep things cordial for the sake of True.
“It’s super important to Khloé that True spends as much time with Tristan as possible,” a source told People on April 15. “Khloé wants True to have a great relationship with Tristan,” the source added.
