After publically humiliating Khloé Kardashian on multiple occasions — Tristan Thompson is trying to convince everyone that he has turned over a new leaf. The NBA baller has been on the outs with Kardashian since February 2019 when he cheated on her (again) by kissing Kylie Jenner’s then-bestie, Jordyn Woods at a party.
Since then — Thompson has done everything he can think of to try and win the Revenge Body star back. From lavish gifts to cutesy comments and emoji’s under her Instagram photos — it appears that Thompson isn’t letting up anytime soon.
Recently, Thompson has given Kardashian everything from a massive balloon display to a diamond necklace. However, when he presented the reality starlet with a sparkling diamond ring, everyone was alarmed.

Despite Thompson’s past treatment of her, Kardashian has been adamant about having a good co-parenting relationship with the father of her daughter — for True’s sake. However, she’s still not giving in to his romantic declarations.
On a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Thompson told Kardashian he loved her. She responded by saying, “bye…thank you.” She later explained, “I don’t know what to say. I just think now, I’ve already seen how this ride goes and I don’t enjoy it. So it’s like why would I want to do it for a third time?” Still –Kardashian’s ambivalence towards the Cleveland Cavaliers player had not deterred him.

During a press trip to Connecticut — Thompson tasked Kardashian’s bestie — Malika Haqq with helping him deliver a diamond necklace to the mother of his daughter. However, the Good American founder’s reaction wasn’t exactly what Thompson expected.
Though she called the NBA star to thank him for the extravagant present she also added, “You weren’t this nice to me when we were together. Ever.” She later revealed, “I am conflicted as to if I should keep it or not. I just really want to make sure there are no expectations,” she says after calling Thompson to thank him. “If I keep something is that misleading? It’s the sweetest, kindest gesture, but it doesn’t mean a necklace is going to fix everything.”

However, the necklace was just the tip of the iceberg. Ahead of her 35th birthday party in June, Thompson gifted Kardashian a pink diamond ring. “Last night, when I get home, he was like, ‘I wanna give you your birthday present,'” Kardashian explained. “I go, ‘I don’t want a present from you.’ He was like, ‘Please?’ So he gives me a card, and he goes, ‘And I hope you accept this ring.’ I was like, ‘I really appreciate it. I don’t think I can accept it. He’s like, ‘Just think about it. It’s yours.’ I go, ‘Not everything needs to be bought.'”
Though Kardashian ultimately decided to keep the ring in an effort to “have a healthy, kind and, yes, a loving relationship” with Thompson, she insists that there is nothing romantic happening between them. “I don’t want to be with him, I don’t. I appreciate how nice he’s being to me and he should be nice to me,” she explained to her sister. “I want us to have a healthy, kind and loving relationship where True can see her mom and dad hug each other when they see each other. I know that he’s trying. We are slowly moving into the direction of being friends as well as amazing co-parents.”
