‘Vanderpump Rules’: Amy Schumer Says Some ‘Truth’ Came From Tom Schwartz’s Blackout Drinking
Schumer and comedian Bridget Everett appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Cohen wanted Schumer and Everett’s opinion on several moments from Vanderpump Rules and the first question addressed Schwartz’s drunken meltdown on his wife.
Maloney-Schwartz became upset when Jax Taylor pranked Tom Sandoval by making it appear actual cops arrived at their party to arrest Sandoval. When it was revealed Taylor was pranking Sandoval, most of the friends were just relieved and happy. However, Maloney-Schwartz didn’t think it was funny. That’s when her husband launched into, announcing in front of their friends that he didn’t want to have sex with her.
Did Schwartz genuinely apologize?
Schwartz even referred to Maloney-Schwartz as “gross” and an “idiot.” He, along with the rest of the friends were pretty drunk, but Schwartz is known to become blackout drunk. Plus he’s verbally attacked his wife when he was extremely drunk in the past.
He apologized but his apology was laced with some defensiveness. “‘I overreacted to your reaction,” he first admits. “But I have to be honest. I still am dumbfounded and confused by your reaction.” When she explained, he told her “don’t be a social justice warrior.”
Maloney-Schwartz held her own and finally, Schwartz actually apologized. He admitted he made the situation worse by getting upset with her reaction. Plus, he said he was out of line and that he loves her.
Is Schwartz sharing how he really feels?
Cohen asked Schumer how she’d feel if her partner spoke to her the way Schwartz addressed his wife. “Oh, you know that wouldn’t go well with me,” she said shaking her head. “As someone who blacks out myself, I think some of the truth comes out when you are in the blackout.”
She adds, “I don’t think I could get over that. He’s so sweet, like the funny guy. But that’s some dark s**t, Schwartz.”
Schumer and Everett had some other pretty funny reactions
Both Everett and Schumer loved the moment when Raquel Leviss ordered a cheeseburger “with cheese.” But then there was the moment when new cast member, Dayna Kathan said Lisa Vanderpump had a “phat p**sy.” Apparently it was supposed to be a compliment, but Everett and Schumer aren’t into it.
“I thought that was a little bit of a reach,” Everett remarked. “I mean Lisa’s definitely got a little pink pocket purse p**sy. Which is cute.” Adding she thinks Kathan was just trying to make an impact and make her imprint.” I didn’t like it,” she adds. “I like her though.”
Schumer agrees. “I mean Lisa Vanderpump obviously has one of the top 10 p**ssies of all time. And I guess it’s like a new cool thing to have a phat p**sy. You know, she has a special p**sy. And I think that’s all Dayna was saying.” Schumer then toasts the notion.
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
