‘Vanderpump Rules’: Behind the Scenes of the Season 7 Reunion

We are deep into season 7 of Vanderpump Rules. And one thing we can say about this season is that it’s definitely been interesting. People have had fights that we never thought would happen, like when Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz got into an argument over Katie Maloney-Schwartz getting James Kennedy fired or when Lala Kent and Billie Lee got into it pretty much every episode.

The cast recently got together again to record the reunion for the season and it’s safe to say that this get together will be just as drama-filled as the rest of the season.

What were the cast’s feelings going into the reunion?

As mentioned before, Lee and Kent had one of the biggest feuds this season. The tension started when Lee claimed Kristen Doute was the reason that Kennedy got fired from working at SUR, which caused Kent to defend Doute and get into a screaming match with Lee.

Then, the feud continued after the girls failed to invite Lee to their Girls Night In party, causing her to feel like she was being excluded for being transgender.

All of the tension and animosity between the girls made Lee apprehensive about filming the reunion.

“We’re about to film that, and I’m really nervous because she’s really mean,” Lee told Us Weekly of the reunion. “I’ve heard things that, like … she’s not sorry for any of it and she would do it over and over again.”

Lee went on, saying that she felt like she had been bullied by Kent.

There’s so many children out there that are being bullied by people like her,” Lee continued. “She’s very powerful, and when someone’s powerful and they’re mean, it really hurts. I remember watching back recently how I felt when I went through that and I was really depressed and I feel like I’m in high school again, you know? It’s really weird. It makes me think about all the kids who are out there dealing with insecurities. I’m an insecure person — I have insecurities about my looks — and for her to call me ‘boring to look at,’ there’s just a lot of things that were triggering me, and I’m honestly afraid to confront her.”

What does the cast have to say about the reunion?

After filming the reunion, the cast has certainly had some mixed reactions as to how it went.

“On a scale from 1 to 10, it was like a 20,” Jax Taylor told On the Red Carpet. “It was just chaotic. It was like Royal Rumble; it was worse than the whole season together. I never saw it coming.”

But others, like Kent, actually felt like the reunion was the closure that they needed.

“I feel like a weight was lifted off my shoulders,” Kent told The Daily Dish. “I got a lot of stuff off my chest. I got to shed light on some things that happened this season that I wasn’t exactly happy about. And I got to explain why I wasn’t happy so I feel great about it… it’ll be very interesting.”

How did Raquel Leviss handle her first reunion?

Kennedy’s girlfriend, Raquel Leviss, has definitely been getting more air time this season. Her feud with Kent made her a shoo- in for appearing on the reunion.

Though it was her first time at a reunion, Leviss feels that she handled it well.

“It was great,” she told the outlet. “I would say it was overwhelming. Obviously this is my first reunion and walking into it, I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I felt very accomplished with myself and proud that I was able to say the things I wanted say. And I’m happy to share that with you guys.”
