‘Vanderpump Rules’: Lala Kent’s Fiancé Apologizes to 50 Cent After Savage Memes
Lala Kent from Vanderpump Rules reignited her feud with 50 Cent and unleashed a meme monster. The rapper had been poking fun at the Bravo star and her fiancé, Randall Emmett, since her Watch What Happens Live appearance. After weeks of brutal insults, one side is raising the white flag to call a truce.
How did the feud start?
The controversial Kent appeared on Andy Cohen’s late-night show earlier this month. Kent was asked about her feud with the “Candy Man” hitmaker that originated over an unpaid debt.
Emmett owed 50 Cent about $1 million and when he didn’t receive his money, the rapper dragged the couple on Instagram. The war stopped when the money was paid back and both sides signed an agreement to cease attacking each other.
The Bravo host asked Kent about how she felt about the feud after months had passed.
“I mean, I listened to ‘In Da Club’ on my birthday, so that was pretty lit,” she answered.
The comment that put 50 Cent over the edge was when Kent claimed she had receipts of hurting his ego.
“I think I really dinged Fofty’s ego. In fact, I know that because I have a receipt to prove that, which I would never post because I ain’t that girl. I ain’t beefing unless I’m gettin’ paid on Vanderpump, yo,” she said.
‘Vanderpump Rules’ co-stars come to Lala Kent’s defense
Following Kent’s interview on WWHL, 50 Cent took to social media to blast the couple once again. The rapper claimed that Kent had a relapse and was using cocaine citing articles that alleged she was drunk during a trip to Disney World.
Kent’s co-stars from the Bravo reality show came to her defense and slammed 50 Cent’s actions.
“You know [50 Cent] looks stupid, he’s the one that looks dumb, to be honest,” Jax Taylor told Hollywood Life. “If you read all the comments everyone’s going after him, not her. That’s how bullying is. That’s how people hurt themselves.”
Taylor’s wife, Brittany Cartwright, echoed his words and said Kent was trying to stay positive during the ordeal.
“She’s trying not to look at stuff… don’t attack somebody for something so little, I just don’t understand,” Cartwright said.
Randall Emmett apologizes
During a point of the feud, there were reports that Kent and Emmett threatened 50 Cent with legal action. The rapper seemed to have his bases covered and proved he was allowed to comment on the couple.
“In the event that either Emmett or Kent make any public statements, whether on social media or otherwise, concerning G-Unit, Principal Jackson, or any dispute between the parties, including between Emmett and Jackson, G-Unit and Principal Jackson should be permitted to respond publicly in any manner and without any restrictions,” 50 Cent’s lawyer read in a since-deleted video.
Now, after weeks of disputes on Instagram, Emmett is calling for a truce apologizing on the same social network.
“Time for us to bury the hatchet,” he wrote online. “I apologize, we never wanted to upset you and won’t happen again. Wishing you nothing but happiness and success.”
As Emmett and Kent raised the white flag for peace, the ball is now in 50 Cent’s court. It will be up to the rapper if he takes his apology or not. Fans are sure to pay close attention to the latter’s Instagram account and see if any more memes are posted.
