‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stars James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss Open Up About Possible Wedding Plans
Vanderpump Rules stars James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss have gone through their fair share of ups and downs on the show. Most of which centered around Kennedy’s bad boy behavior when drinking. But after verbally attacking Leviss while drunk, Kennedy has turned things around, and just celebrated 10 months of sobriety. So, with their new drama-free relationship are Kennedy and Leviss ready to tie the knot like their Vanderpump Rules co-stars?
James Kennedy says there is no rush
Last summer in an interview with Us Weekly, Kennedy revealed that things between him and Leviss are really good but said they could probably be the next Vanderpump Rules stars to get married.
“Yeah, probably,” Kennedy said. “You know, I don’t like rushing that cause we’re like 10 years younger than everyone else on the show, but I love her so much.”
While he may not be in a hurry to get married, Kennedy made it very clear, Leviss — who joined Vanderpump Rules as a full-time cast member this season — is the love of his life.
“Me and Raquel are super great,” he told Us. “We’re super happy together. She’s the love of my life. I love her.”
Where does Raquel stand on getting engaged?
Leviss — who now works as a server at SUR — says the two are just enjoying life but that doesn’t mean that she is ready to take the next step. Leviss and Kennedy currently live together, and while she admitted that he brings up marriage ‘several times,’ that doesn’t mean she is ready to start planning a wedding.
“We’ve been talking about engagement for a long time,” she revealed. “He’s mentioned it to me several times and I told him I would tell him when I’m ready. I see it in the future.”
The one thing that seems to be standing in their way, is the approval of Leviss’ parents. She told Hollywood Life, that her parents have seen all sides of Kennedy’s behavior on Vanderpump Rules, and they obviously have concerns.
“It’s not that I’m not ready. I would love to have my parents’ approval on it. We’ve been together for a long time. My parents have seen all the sides of James as well, so my parents are super supportive of our relationship now, it’s just making sure I have their approval before I make the next step.”
How is Kennedy getting along with his ‘Vanderpump Rules’ co-stars?
While he and Leviss may not be ready to get married just yet, Kennedy has seemed to mend his friendships with some of his Vanderpump Rules co-stars — particularly Jax Taylor and Lala Kent.
Taylor made headlines before the season 8 premiere when he blocked Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, and Kristen Doute on social media. But, according to Kennedy, his former nemesis is just “living his own life.”
“He’s just living his own life,” says Kennedy, and he doesn’t care for the followers as much as some of the other influencers.
As for his friendship with Lala, Kennedy says they are on “great terms” and he has also gotten sober like his former bestie. The Kennedy is officially 10 months sober, and he says that he is not playing shows without drinking, and it is a “true rush feeling” and a new high.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules air Tuesday nights on Bravo.
