Victoria Beckham’s 14 Engagement Rings Total Over 100 Carats

What do you do when you’re collectively worth close to $1 billion and have been married for close to two decades? Well, if you’re David and Victoria Beckham, it seems that you spend some of that cash on engagement rings. That’s right. Rings. Plural.

Since their engagement in 1998 — and subsequent marriage in 1999 — Mrs. Beckham has been spotted wearing no less than fourteen different engagement rings. While we’ve seen more than our fair share of over-the-top celebrity engagement rings, Beckham’s rotating collection of show-stopping jewels is by far one of the most impressive. Let’s take a closer look.

The pair met in the Manchester United players’ lounge when Victoria was at the height of her Spice Girls fame. She admits she was “a little drunk” during the initial encounter, but she noticed that David wasn’t getting rowdy with the other players.

He was, instead, standing to the side with his family. He asked Victoria — then best known as Posh Spice — for her number. He still keeps the plane ticket that she obligingly wrote it on. The rest, as they say, is history.

If Victoria was attracted to David’s attention to his own family at this event, it may have been foreshadowing how they would one day grow their own. The pair have four children together: three boys and a girl.

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have amassed a tremendous fortune

By Hollywood standards, the Beckhams live a relatively quiet life. They reside in London with their youngest kids — their eldest son spends most of his time in New York.

Victoria raked in a lot of money with her work in the Spice Girls. But these days she is continuing to grow her empire as a fashion designer. She has clothing and sunglasses lines, and is now worth around $450 million dollars.

Meanwhile, David Beckham is best known for his time as a professional soccer player for the Manchester United team. He’s retired from the game, but his reputation and stunning good looks allow him to continue bringing in substantial income. He does modeling and promotional work for brands like H&M and Adidas. He, too, is worth about $450 million.

Victoria Beckham has a rotating collection of engagement rings

The very first engagement ring appeared in 1998. It was a three-carat marquis-cut diamond worth approximately $85,000 at the time.

By 2001, Victoria was sporting a simpler platinum infinity band that was studded with white diamonds. In 2003, she again upgraded. This time, the stunning addition was a gigantic emerald-cut diamond in a platinum band.

In 2004, Victoria turned 30 and her husband gifted her a pink-hued diamond in a halo setting to mark the occasion. It was estimated to be worth $1.1 million. The very next year, Victoria again switched it up, swapping out the pink diamond for a pear-cut diamond that’s an astounding 17 carats.

In 2006, Victoria was seen with another emerald-cut diamond, but this one was yellow. Keeping with the colorful trend, 2007 featured a brilliant emerald in a spiral setting.

In 2008, the collection grew to include a ring that looks a lot like the 2006 emerald-cut choice, but this one is even bigger. In 2009, she was seen with a beautiful ruby surrounded by diamonds. An oval-cut sapphire joined the collection in 2010 along with a more modest and understated (by comparison) pink, oval-cut diamond.

In 2015, a flashy round-cut diamond with side stones joined the rotation. The final two are both square-cut diamonds. A simple and elegant diamond on a platinum band came in 2016, and her most recent addition is a similar ring with a yellow diamond that premiered in 2018.

Together, the rings add up to over 100 carats and millions of dollars. Some she is only seen wearing for a short time but others make their way back out into the world on a regular basis. We’ll have to keep an eye out to see if she unveils something sparkly for the new decade.
