We Doubt Caelynn Miller-Keyes Will Be On ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
The past season of The Bachelor had a number of memorable moments, plenty of heartbreak, and ultimately a happy ending for Colton Underwood and contestant Cassie Randolph. And now that Hannah Brown has been announced as the next Bachelorette, we’re all wondering who we can expect to see from this season on Bachelor in Paradise. Fan favorites like Demi Burnett and runner-up Hannah Godwin will hopefully be in paradise finding their soul mates, but it seems many are wondering what Caelynn Miller-Keyes, better known as Miss North Carolina, is going to be up to next.
Will we see Caelynn in paradise with some of the others from the show? While she may want to find her perfect match and get married, we’re doubtful she’ll participate. Here’s why.
Caelynn was absolutely heartbroken when Colton didn’t give her a rose
Caelynn and Cassie became ultra close on The Bachelor. We know Cassie and Colton are together now — and while Caelynn wants the best for both of them, she’s still dealing with the sting of not winning Colton’s love in the end. Colton met Caelynn’s family during hometown visits, and she was falling head-over-heels in love with him before he sent her home. As she told E! News, “I’m still processing this heartbreak.”
Caelynn mentioned to the publication that she was totally blindsided by not being picked. “I was just left standing there like, ‘What the hell happened?’ How could we go from just having the best time and just an incredible relationship to nothing?” While Colton told her personally that he felt terrible for breaking her heart, she also mentioned to E! News, “Colton didn’t give me any answers. He gave me nothing.” And it seems like she still may be working through the heartbreak and processing everything that occurred on the show.
She’s said being on The Bachelor was ‘so incredibly hard’ for her
Caelynn may not regret looking for love on television, but she’s also mentioned the entire process was way more difficult than she expected. And while there was plenty of drama about her potentially saying she wanted to be the next Bachelorette if she didn’t win Colton’s heart during his season, she told Us Weekly that she’s not actually sure she would’ve been able to be the next lead of the series. “I think I would be hesitant, just because this process sucked for me,” she told the publication. “I mean, it was absolute hell for me.”
Being in love with Colton and then sent home was a big part of the reason Caelynn had such a negative experience with the show, but she also mentioned to Us Weekly that there were times she told the producers she considered leaving. “I mean, there were several days where I would go to producers and be like, ‘I’m leaving, I can’t deal with this.’ Because it was hard, it was emotional. It was so incredibly hard for me,” she added. Since The Bachelor was so taxing and she’s stated she probably wouldn’t want to be The Bachelorette, that makes us think she’d have no interest in competing for love on Bachelor in Paradise, too.
Caelynn also had a hard time with the drama spread about her during the season
Every reality series showcases interpersonal drama, and The Bachelor is no different. Unfortunately, Caelynn took serious heat from the other girls on her season, as she and Cassie were both accused of not being there for the “right reasons.” Caelynn told Us Weekly that she felt totally betrayed by Tayshia, one of the other women on the show she considered her friend. Tayshia told Colton that she was worried both Caelynn and Cassie weren’t prepared for marriage, and she also added that the girls were discussing the advantages of their newfound TV exposure if things didn’t work out with Colton.
“It sucks that my character comes into question,” Caelynn told Us Weekly. “It’s not fun, but I think what hurt the worst was Tayshia and I were friends from night one and she was helping me get ready for my one-on-one.” If Caelynn is still feeling burned by what the girls were saying about her, odds are low she’d want to reenter the reality TV world. We could be wrong, though, as time may heal all wounds. Perhaps Bachelor Nation has yet to see the last of Caelynn and her journey for romance.
