The 10 Weirdest Contestant Jobs in ‘The Bachelor’ History
There are some things that typically happen in every season of The Bachelor. That includes a first impression rose being given on the first night, some shocking secrets that come out along the way, and the hometown dates. Then, there are the quirky contestants who have weird jobs.
Some of these jobs actually aren’t jobs at all. Instead, they post a contestant’s hobby, or a unique goal. Then there are some that have actual jobs that you probably didn’t know existed. So what are the interesting careers contestants have led when they’re not on the show? Here are the 10 weirdest contestant jobs in The Bachelor history.
1. “Aspiring Dolphin Trainer”
This new season with Nick Viall started off with some crazy antics! We saw ladies trying to impress the new bachelor by riding up on camels, eating uncooked hot dogs, and even bringing engagement rings to show him what they want in the future. When it came to professions, there were a lot of impressive ones in the group. There were lawyers, nurses, and business owners. But the talk of the night was Alexis!
Alexis is an aspiring dolphin trainer. It’s unclear how far away she is from reaching her dreams, but she stood out by dressing up as Katy Perry’s Left Shark. As if that wasn’t crazy enough, she insisted the whole night that she was wearing a dolphin costume, not a shark costume. Although her confusion was concerning to Nick, he gave her a rose anyways.
2. “Chicken Enthusiast”
I think a lot of people would agree that chicken is awesome. However, they probably wouldn’t use that as their career description if they went on television.
3. “Cruise Ship Singer”
A cruise ship singer sounds like a cool job, but it is also a little weird considering we just don’t come across many of them. Carly had fun with it in her adorable introduction.
4. “Donated Tissue Specialist”
“Donated tissue” kind of makes our skin crawl at first, but people like athletes need donated tissue for their health, so someone has to do it!
5. “Free Spirit”
Chances are being a “free spirit” doesn’t pay and it’s not even a hobby! It’s also risky to call yourself that given that sometimes a free spirit includes being flaky.
6. “Jumbotron Operator”
Here is another perfectly respectable job we just don’t see often. We wonder how many jumbotron marriage proposals she has seen while on the job.
7. “Dog Lover”
If only loving dogs could be a job. It’s not, but we totally support any “dog lover” anyways.
8. “Sport Fishing Enthusiast”
Here is another enthusiast who made it on the list. This is definitely a specific hobby that made her stand out as a contestant.
Being a twin isn’t a hobby or a job. But perhaps it is since the twins have been able to continue their reality television career together! These girls know how to stay on brand.
10. “WWE Diva-in-Training”
It’s interesting that Brittany didn’t just say she was a wrestler, but created her job title around the position she wants in the future. Well, at least we know she has her eye on the prize!
