What Celebrity Guests Were at Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’s Wedding?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth appear to have tied the knot. While there’s been no official confirmation that the two are now married, photos leaked on Sunday that seem to show the couple cutting a wedding cake at a reception.
Then on Wednesday, Miley seemed to confirm that the wedding had happened when she shared several photos of her and Hemsworth on Instagram, including one with the caption “10 years later.”

In the leaked photos, the “Wrecking Ball” singer is wearing a white dress, while the Hunger Games actor sports a tuxedo as they get ready to cut into a two-tiered cake covered in white frosting and decorated with flowers. Another image shows Mr. & Mrs. balloons in the background. The couple’s friend surfer Conrad Jack Carr posted the story on Instagram.
Who attended Miley’s secret wedding?
The “secret” wedding appears to have been a low-key and casual affair at the couple’s home in Franklin, Tennessee. (Their home in Malibu was destroyed earlier this year in a wildfire.) Miley’s mom Tish Cyrus was there, dressed in jeans and a black top, as were Miley’s sisters Brandi and singer-actress Noah.
At least two of Hemsworth’s brothers were also at the event. A photo shows Chris Hemsworth – aka Marvel’s Thor – and Luke Hemsworth, who’s best known for his work on HBO’s Westworld, doing a shotski.
One person who reportedly wasn’t at the wedding was Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer couldn’t be there for “personal reasons,” an anonymous source told Radar Online.
Why the couple opted for an intimate wedding
Cyrus and Hemsworth have had an on-again-off-again relationship since they met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. They got engaged in 2012, when Hemsworth gave her a 3.5-carat Neil Lane ring. But the engagement wasn’t smooth sailing, and they called it quits a couple of times before patching things up for good in 2016. Surviving the loss of their California home in November in the Woolsey Fire only seemed to strengthen their bond.
Completely devestated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for

The couple reportedly called each other “husband” and “wife” as a joke even before they were married. But Cyrus has previously said she was in no rush to get married and saw her engagement as a sign of commitment.
Cyrus also reportedly wanted a small affair rather than a big bash if she did get married. “Miley is pretty adamant about having a small, private ceremony,” a source told Us magazine in 2017. “But Liam wants a really big wedding, so I’m sure they’ll have to compromise.”
Miley’s mom Tish confirmed her daughter didn’t want a huge wedding. “Of course, I probably would [want a big wedding],” Tish told Mario Lopez when she was a guest on his radio show On With Mario last summer. “She would never do that, I don’t think. She’s a simple, simple girl.”
It seems like she got her wish.
