What Did Angelina Pivarnick Do Between ‘Jersey Shore’ and ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’?
Given Angelina Pivarnick‘s fragmented time on Jersey Shore, many fans are curious about what she did when she left the show. Here’s what Pivarnick was up to before becoming a regular on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
Angelina was part of the original ‘Jersey Shore’
When Jersey Shore premiered in 2009, Pivarnick was a member of the original cast. She arrived at the house with trash bags in hand, instantly leaving a lasting impression on her roommates and viewers.
Pivarnick quickly became the outcast in the house. As a result, she started to experience homesickness. Plus, she had a boyfriend at the time and expressed wanting to be home with him.
When she refused to go to work — to live in the house, the roommates had to work for Danny Merk in the Shore Store — Merk had no choice but to fire Pivarnick. The remaining cast stayed in the house for the summer, forming a bond Pivarnick would be excluded from for many years.
Despite what happened the first season, Pivarnick returned for Jersey Shore Season 2 in Miami. The roommates made it clear Pivarnick had no place in the house after abandoning them during season 1. After a rough few days, Pivarnick decided to leave the show once again. She wouldn’t return to the reality series until the 2018 reboot.
Angelina did more reality TV after ‘Jersey Shore’
Despite her decision to leave Jersey Shore, Pivarnick sought opportunities elsewhere in the reality TV world. She appeared on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in February 2011, taking part in a six-way tag match. Pivarnick teamed up with wrestlers Cookie and Sarita to fight Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Winter. Unfortunately, her team lost.
Pivarnick was also a guest star on NY Ink. After a brief argument about the size of the artwork, Ami James tattooed a Jersey Shore-inspired scene on her side. Pivarnick also starred in VH1’s Couples Therapy with her boyfriend at the time, Chris Nirschel.
After ‘Jersey Shore,’ Angelina also recorded music
Many fans were unaware of Pivarnick’s music career. She recorded the single “I’m Hot” in 2010. In 2011, she released another single, “Gotta Go Out.”
After outraging the LGBTQ community in 2012 with her comments against gay marriage, Pivarnick worked with Adam Barta to correct her wrongs. “I am ashamed about what I said and, if given a chance, will prove that I am a huge supporter of the gay community and their rights to marry,” she explained (via Huffington Post).
Pivarnick proved her support by recording the single “Serendipity” with Barta as a gesture to the LGBTQ community.
Angelina also became an EMT
After her many pursuits in the entertainment world, Pivarnick left reality TV and music behind to become an EMT. “My day job is being an EMT,” she explained in on E! True Hollywood Story. “For forever, I’ve wanted to help people, so I decided to go to school and do it. Me being an EMT, people get to see the best in me. I have a big heart, but people don’t realize it.” In 2019, Pivarnick told Life and Style Magazine that she “still hold[s] the job as [an] EMT,” but it’s been difficult since her 2017 injury because she is “not the same.”
Angelina joined ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’
Today, Pivarnick is part of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast. Her return to the series originated as a prank, but she quickly became regular. Despite the drama that unfolded during season 3, Pivarnick will return for season 4 — unlike Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
