What Does Lamar Odom Have to Say to Khloe Kardashian After all of This Time?

After a breakup, there is usually a period of mourning for the relationship. The length of time it takes to get over the split usually depends on how long and serious the relationship was in the first place. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom definitely had an intense relationship and an even more extreme breakup, but it’s been almost three years since the whole thing was said and done.

Kardashian has been in numerous other relationships since then and has even had a child in the time that she has been apart from Odom. But the former basketball player can’t seem to let things go. He recently revealed that he still has feelings for the reality star and has a few things he’d like to say to her.

What does Odom want to say to Kardashian?

After their horribly public split, Odom wrote a book, “Darkness to Light,” detailing his drug addiction and certain aspects of the marriage. Though the two have gone through a number of rough patches, Odom wants Kardashian to know that he is still thankful for her.

“I love you and thank you for being there for me when I couldn’t walk or talk,” he told Entertainment Tonight that he wanted to tell Kardashian. “You know, when you marry someone after knowing them 30 days, I don’t think that love will go away. You know what I’m saying? A piece of paper that says we’re not together no more, that love will never go away.”

What does Kardashian think of the marriage?

While doing promotion for his book, Odom has rehashed his relationship with Kardashian in several interviews. But how does Kardashian actually feel about everything that went down?

She recently went on the Divorce Sucks with Laura Wasser podcast to talk about it.

“I put my all into that marriage,” she said. “I think, me knowing I could survive that and, like, it’s going to be OK and life gets better, but I look at life from always a positive aspect. I would’ve rather experienced those moments that I had of greatness and then I had to lose it, than never to have experienced that ever.”

What do you think is the number one killer of dreams ? It's fear. Today, my body is healthy, my mind is at peace, I love my children and they love me. Thats it. It's the ONLY thing that matters in my life today. What is accomplishment to you ? And why? You will accomplish NOTHING in life if you don't start fighting your fears. Fears are lies. Voices in your head that will tell you to give up. Voices telling you that you can't and won't. The biggest battle I fought in life is the fight against my fears. The reason i am making a comeback to basketball is because I REFUSE to listen to my fears but instead follow my heart. My heart, telling me that I have to play basketball one more time to show people that you can OVERCOME addiction and LIVE a happy life enjoying the little things. I used to win NBA championships and chances are small that I will ever be playing on NBA level or maybe I will. Who knows? I am a believer of the POWER OF WILL, that's how I won my championships. I believed I could and I did! But listen to this, I don't have to be a NBA champion again to make a difference in the life of my kids, people around me or even in yours. Maybe I can show you that you can become a champion in defeating your addiction or help others defeating theirs.. Those are the real champions of this world. We need more of these messages in this world today. It's the year of execution not talking. Im ready for you. For today, I hope you can shut down that voice of fear and see how the universe is gonna reward you back for just believing in yourself. #fearisalie @ryanloco

“… Life is about love and breaking up and then you’ll find someone again once you heal,” she said. “Never find someone just because you want to distract yourself… It’s never gonna be the right person.”

What happened between Kardashian and Odom?

Kardashian and Odom fell in love quickly. They decided to get married just one month after meeting one another. But, during their short marriage, Odom fell deeper into his drug addiction until he was no longer able to hide it.

“At that point in my life, I was doing coke every day,” he recently shared in a video for the Players Tribune. “Pretty much every second of free time that I had, I was doing coke. I couldn’t control it. I didn’t want to control it.’

It all came to a head when Odom overdosed at a brothel in October of 2015, resulting in the basketball player falling into a four-day coma. That was the final straw in the relationship and the couple divorced in December of the next year.
