What Does the Future Hold for Baby Archie?

The entire world burst into excitement recently when the news broke that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had finally welcomed their first child. After months of betting on whether the royal baby would be a boy or a girl, how much he or she would weigh, and the new moniker that the parents would choose for their child, we were introduced to little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 3 oz.

We caught a glimpse of the baby, wrapped in a soft ivory blanket and wearing a matching hat as he slept peacefully while his parents posed for a few photographs. Royal fans couldn’t be happier for Meghan and Harry, and they could not be enjoying parenthood more. Baby Archie certainly is one lucky baby, however, fans can’t help but wonder what his future holds.

Baby Archie won’t be in the spotlight

It is well-known that the reason Meghan and Harry decided to move to Frogmore Cottage is that they wanted to escape the high-profile city of London in favor of a quieter life. They did this because they wanted to keep their new baby out of the spotlight of royal life, and the countryside town of Windsor is the perfect place to do just that.

Chances are, photographers will not be following the new parents as they help baby Archie navigate through his first few years of life, and we may not know about all of his important milestones, as Meghan and Harry will likely keep them private.

Baby Archie won’t have a royal title at first

Although his father is a prince, Archie may not have that title until his grandfather, Prince Charles, becomes king. This is a solid indication that Meghan and Harry are planning a low-key childhood for their son and probably won’t hesitate to bend the rules of royal tradition just a little. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are known for doing things their own way, which is why it is not very surprising that the newborn does not have a royal title — yet.

Things may change as Archie gets older

Meghan and Harry may be planning a quiet, simple life for Archie when he is young, but there is always the chance that he will choose to be in the spotlight when he gets older. There is a possibility Archie could be active with royal duties, and it really can’t be predicted at this point as to what he will choose to do. Also, we should take into consideration the extensive humanitarian and charity work that Meghan and Harry both enjoy being involved in. Given their dedication to causes that are close to their hearts, they may pass this along to their son.

Baby Archie may be seen at official visits

We do know that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are focused on introducing their son to the quieter side of life. However, Meghan and Harry carry out official visits, and we may see baby Archie traveling with them. It is likely that we could get glimpses of the child as his parents visit different countries around the world, as Meghan and Harry have said that they want to be hands-on parents.

We are eager to see what the future holds for Archie

No matter what Archie chooses to do as he gets older, we are sure that he will make a positive impact on other people, just like his parents, as well as other family members such as Prince William, Prince Charles and Princess Diana. He couldn’t ask for better role models than Meghan and Harry, who will definitely show him how to be the best person that he possibly can.
