What Expensive Gift Did Prince Charles Give Meghan Markle?

While some of us aren’t exactly the biggest fans of our in-laws, Duchess Meghan Markle doesn’t have to deal with that drama. Just like everyone else across the globe, the former actress has won the hearts of her husband Prince Harry’s parents, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla Parker Bowles.

In fact, now that Markle is in the family, Prince Harry’s father and stepmother are closer to the red-headed royal then they ever have been before. To show their appreciation, they have boasted about their daughter-in-law, given her the sweetest nickname, and the future King of England has even gifted Markle with a super expensive gift.

The best thing to happen to Harry

Prince Charles is so taken with Duchess Meghan Markle that he reportedly calls her “Teflon.” From the moment the couple went public with their relationship the press hounded the former actress. Her paternal family even crawled out of the woodworks giving salacious and rude interviews about Markle to the media.

Markle for her part has handled it all with grace. According to E! Online, “Prince Charles thinks she is charming and very bright, and Duchess Camilla believes Markle has made a great start in becoming a member of the family.” He is so pleased about the new addition to his family that the prince thinks Markle is the best thing to ever happened to his son. He even stepped in and walked Markle down the aisle at her wedding when her own father was not available.

Markle’s presence has also helped Prince Charles and Prince Harry bond. A royal source explained to The Daily Mail, “Princes Harry and William were said to have blamed their father for being absent for much of their childhood, Markle helped heal that wound with her instant rapport with Prince Charles. Meghan met Charles and was bowled over by his charm. She told Harry he was wonderful, welcoming, warm, hard-working, kind and stable.”

A stunning gift

Markle’s new father-in-law reportedly couldn’t wait to shower the duchess with gifts of his affection. As a pre-wedding gift, he gave Markle a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet. The Suits alum adores it so much; she’s already won the stunning jewels on multiple occasions.

The Duchess of Sussex first wore the bracelet the eve before her wedding in May 2018. She wore it again the following week in celebration of Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, and she recently wore it when she and Prince Harry arrived in Suva, Fiji while on their 16-day royal tour.

Glittering in Fiji

When Markle and Prince Harry first arrived in Fiji, the pregnant duchess wore her bracelet with a white dress by Zimmermann. The bracelet wasn’t the only piece of royal jewelry she wore donned. She also accented her outfit with a pair of pearl and diamond-drop pendant earrings that were gifted to her from Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Later in the evening, Markle changed into an ocean-blue dress by the London-based designer, Safiyaa. This time around the duchess chose to accent her evening gown with her bracelet and her growing baby bump.

Now that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle are about to welcome Prince Charles’ fourth grandchild into the world, we wonder what other expensive gifts the future king is going to present to his daughter-in-law.
