Avengers, assemble! With Tony Stark gone, the Avengers need your help now more than ever. It’s time to join Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, and the Avengers on their latest adventures. What is Avengers: Damage Control and what are fans saying about it? Here’s what we know about Marvel Studios’ upcoming virtual reality experience.

What is Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Damage Control’?

It’s been a few months since the events of Avengers: Endgame. Now, Shuri needs your help in testing some new equipment. Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Damage Control is a virtual reality game at select VOID locations that puts fans in the heart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Presumably, it will be similar to games created by other studios, like Star Wars and Ghostbusters.

“We’re always looking for new stories and corners of the universe for our characters to explore. Now, after more than a decade of amazing support, we are excited to give fans the same opportunity: to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” said Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios. “Expanding how people can experience the MCU is something we’re always trying to do, and in Avengers: Damage Control, we wanted to give fans the chance to suit up alongside some their favorite heroes for the first time ever.”

Reportedly, this video game will include appearances from Avengers heroes like Shuri, Doctor Strange, Wasp, and Ant-Man, and other characters. It is unclear, however, if the actors from Avengers: Endgame will reprise their superhero roles.

Within a few hours, the video jumped to one of the top trending spots on YouTube, earning over five million views. This trailer takes superheroes into the heart of Wakanda, where Shuri is testing new Iron Man-inspired suits.

According to The Verge, “People play in teams of four to test the design and take on a ‘familiar enemy from the Avengers’ past’ that wants to steal the technology, according to a description for the game. Teams must stop the enemy before they ‘unleash an oppressive new age upon the planet.’” Naturally, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are pretty excited for their first look into this virtual world.
