What Luke P. Is Doing After ‘The Bachelorette’
Former Bachelorette contestant Luke Parker has been one of the more outspoken candidates on social outlets since Hannah Brown’s season first began airing. As soon as it became clear he was going to be this season’s villain, he took to Instagram to explain himself and say that he was learning.
“I just want to address the elephant in the room here really quick,” he began the post. “First I want you all to know how hard it has been for me to watch myself this season so far. Regardless of what is aired AND IF @alabamahannah and I are together or not my behavior in all situations has been and will continue to be exposed.”
He continued: “I have learned a lot and I am continuing to learn about my flaws as a man. I’m the first to admit I am far from perfect. This journey has giving me a great opportunity to grow and mature as a man, for that I am grateful.
For those of you who are on this journey with me I am grateful for your support and hope you get to learn and grow from my mistakes with me!”
Not a bad post, Parker! He owned up to his behavior and promised to work on improving himself.
However, as the season went on and more of his “behavior in all situations” continued “to be exposed,” he became more defense. He stopped taking ownership of his actions and started pointing fingers at Brown, calling her a sinner.
Luke P. is ‘so thankful for [his] time on the Bachelorette’
Now that Parker’s been sent home, he posted another photo to Instagram detailing how he’s been spending some of his time now that the show’s over.
“I am so thankful for my time on the Bachelorette. Filming wrapped up months ago but what I have been learning hasn’t stopped, and I hope it never does,” he captioned the photo. “I’m thankful to be able to partner up with @buckykennedyministries and share how God has moved in my life and used a reality tv show like the bachelorette to share the love of Jesus! Thank you @universityofgastudents for welcoming me to come share my story! Also thank you @mcbride_era13 bro, you’re the man for having a heart to want to set this up!”
He continued: “Jesus does love you no matter what you have done. Yes, even if you slam some guy on a rugby field and sling bologna at someone, God still loves you. He wants his great love for you to win you over, so you can live your life for him and his purpose not your own. His grace is not an excuse so that we can continue to live our old lives, but it gives us the power we need to be set free so that we can be used by him for his glory.”
There you have it. Parker is sharing his Bachelorette story with fellow Christians. He’s reminding people that “Jesus does love you no matter what you have done”–that is, unless you have sex in a windmill.
