What the Cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ Thinks About JWoww’s New Boyfriend
Jenni “JWoww” Farley has a new man in her life, and his name is Zack Clayton Carpinello.
Naturally, she’s been introducing him to her loved ones, including the cast of Jersey Shore. While speaking to UsWeekly for an interview shared on July 12, the cast members reflected on the experience, telling the publication exactly what they think of JWoww’s new beau.
Here’s what they had to say about Mr. Carpinello.
He has the stamp of approval
JWoww and Carpinello have only been dating for a few months, but it appears that he’s already made a mark on the Jersey Shore cast. When asked if they approve of Carpinello, the squad quickly said yes.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro added, “If she’s happy, we’re happy.”
“When someone’s not happy, then we hate that person,” Vinny Guadagnino noted.
The only person who hasn’t officially met him is Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. She was pregnant when her co-stars met Carpinello in Las Vegas, but she has talked to him via FaceTime. JWoww said she wants them to meet “next week,” but there’s no pressure, as Snooki said she “already approve[s].”
JWoww felt “huge” pressure introducing the 24-year-old to the cast
So, it wasn’t easy for JWoww to introduce her new boyfriend to her Jersey Shore family. She said that while her actual family tends to be more relaxed when it comes to meeting her love interests, her co-stars “will judge.”
Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio chimed in, saying, “She has to prep him!” The 33-year-old agreed, explaining, “I always say when you date me, you date seven other people, and if I’m mad at you, seven other people are gonna be mad at you.”
The good news is that Carpinello had been a longtime friend of JWoww’s, which probably made the meeting a lot more relaxed.
Carpinello has met her kids, too
The couple told Entertainment Tonight back in May that Carpinello had been spending a bunch of time with JWoww’s children, Meilani, 4, and Greyson, 3. The comments came roughly a month after the pair went public with its romance.
“I’ve spent a lot of time with the kids,” Carpinello, a wrestler, told ET. “I’ve known Meilani for a few years. She’s known me for a couple years, she is great with me. I love the kids. They’re great.”
“Greyson calls him ‘Baby,’ so he’s always like, ‘Hi, Baby!’ and Meilani’s always known him as [my friend] Erica’s brother, so that’s how I wanted to keep it with the kids, so it’s not an awkward transition,” JWoww explained. “So, they’ve just always known him as one of our really close friends.”
“[Meilani] honestly probably likes him more than me at this point, because he’s cooler and will do a lot more. And I’m like, the mom yelling in the background. But it’s fine. I’ll let him have his moments,” she joked.
How did they meet?
JWoww knows him through one of her friends, Erica.
“She’s been one of my friends since I was 15, and I met her in the principal’s office because we both got in trouble. And cut to 20 years later, I’m now dating her brother, so it’s fun,” she explained to ET.
“I’ve known Jenni for years,” Carpinello added. “She was always very cool, always a great, very, very pretty girl, and we just always kept in touch,” he continued.
The two announced their relationship over six months after JWoww filed for divorce from her husband, Roger Mathews, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
“I love that I can make her smile, apparently, like nobody else has ever done before in life, so that’s the biggest thing that I love,” Carpinello gushed to ET. “That’s something I hear from everybody all the time. So, I know there’s got to be truth behind it.”
We’re glad he can make her co-stars smile, too.
