What We Know About ‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown’s New Beauty Line
We already knew the young actors on Stranger Things were talented, but some of them have side gigs as musicians, designers, and business owners. Among them is mogul-in-the-making Millie Bobby Brown, who’s ready to check off another item on her to-do list: create a beauty brand. Like other celebrities, the starlet is jumping into the skin and cosmetics arena and wants fans to love it as much as she does.
The actress recently announced her own beauty line on social media
15-year-old Millie Bobby Brown certainly knows how to make use of her time when she’s not busy filming Stranger Things or movies. She took to Instagram to share that she’s launching Florence by Mills, a beauty brand aimed at Gen-Z. Apparently, she’s been secretly working on this project for two years and is over the moon about the venture. Now it’s time!
Brown thanked fans for all their support over the years and in the video, talked about her hopes for the line, saying, “Every young person deserves to have a good start with their skin. I wanted it to be easy to get, fun to use, and still useful but also playing that sophisticated teenager as well.”
According to The Cut, Florence by Mills is the result of a partnership between Brown and brand incubator Beach House, the company that helped spawn Shay Mitchell’s Béis travel brand and Kendall Jenner’s toothpaste (yep, it’s called Moon).
The brand’s name has a special meaning for Brown
Serving as a tribute to her great-grandmother, Florence, Brown capped off the moniker with her own nickname, “Mills” for the line. What’s sweeter than that? Adding to that sentimental tidbit is the fact that Brown plans to donate a portion of the beauty brand’s proceeds to charity, W Magazine reports.
Funds will go to the Olive Hope Foundation, a group that provides support for pediatric cancer patients. The organization was founded in honor of Olivia Hope LoRusso, Brown’s late friend.
The what, how, and where to purchase Florence by Mills products
Did we mention that the entire product line is vegan? Cruelty-free, PETA certified, and free of harsh compunds like parabens and sulfates, the teen brand mixes cute with functionality. There are lip glosses, iridescent face masks, concealers, a face wash, a “Zero Chill Face Mist,” and this cool eye balm:
Interested in stocking up or gifting someone with Florence by Mills items? You can buy from Ulta Beauty, Boots, or from the website when it officially goes live. Products will be priced from $10 to $34 and the line is due to drop in four days!
In case you forgot, Brown collaborated with Converse this year to create her own sneaker line as well; it sold out. If that fashion foray is any indication, we think she’ll fare extremely well in this new endeavor.
The beauty line looks perfectly suited for the Gen Z clientele it’s geared toward, but it wouldn’t be shocking if millennials and more buy up all the products too. Everybody loves a good face mask.
