Clarke’s breakthrough role as the Mother of Dragons has landed her three Primetime Emmy nominations, several wins as an up and coming supporting actress, and impressive net worth. The role has bought classical actress, Clarke, into the spotlight. Now that Hollywood has seen her acting prowess, the sky’s the limit when it comes to her career.

Clarke’s first role was as Saskia Mayer on the British series, Doctors. Despite the bit part, Clarke’s presence on-screen commanded attention. Just two years after she was cast in Game of Thrones. In 2015 Clarke took on the pivotal role of Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys. She got to work alongside Terminator veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger and Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke.

Fast forward to last year, Clarke switched gears to another fantasy world, just this time with a sci-fi twist. The rising star appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story, where she played badass babe Qi’ra. There are definitely some parallels between Qi-ra and Dany. The two really rise to the top in their respective stories.

Emilia Clarke rises ‘Above Suspicion’

Above Suspicion is a chilling story based on real-life events. It follows newlywed FBI agent Mark Putnam after he relocates to a mining town in Kentucky on his first mission. Putnam ends up getting into an affair with a local woman who also happens to be his star informant. The events that follow shake the small rural Kentucky town to the core and changes the lives of everyone involved for years to come.

Clarke plays impoverished informant Susan Smith. Based on the trailer it looks like Smith gets herself in a lot of trouble batting for the other team. That’s not all that’s going on either. Clearly, there’s a lot of tension between her and Putnum, played by Outlander’s Jake Huston.

Other notable cast members include beautiful Hocus Pocus star, Thora Birch, Jackass’ hilarious Johnny Knoxville, Cloverfield’s Chris Mulkey, and Nocturnal Animals’ Karl Glusman. Clarke fans can look forward to catching her in the action-packed thriller later this year.
