What’s Streaming on Showtime in January 2020
A new year means new movies on Showtime. The premium cable channel is kicking off 2020 by adding dozens of films to its streaming lineup, including a biopic about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and an uplifting comedy-drama starring Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston. Plus, you can catch new episodes of shows like Ray Donovan, Shameless, The L Word: Generation Q, and Work In Progress.
‘On the Basis of Sex’ makes its TV debut
Starting January 1, Showtime subscribers can stream On the Basis of Sex, the 2018 drama chronicling the early career of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It stars Felicity Jones as Ginsburg and Armie Hammer as her husband. The movie will also make its television premiere on January 1 at 9/8c on Showtime.
Showtime also has the television debut of the 2017 movie The Upside. Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston plays a quadriplegic billionaire who hires a parolee (Kevin Hart) to help care for him. It airs January 4 at 9/8c on Showtime.
Other January 2020 premieres include The Wedding Guest, a 2018 action-thriller starring Dev Patel as a man hired to kidnap a woman at her wedding, and Donnybrook, a 2018 film starring Jamie Bell as a Marine who attempts to make a fresh start by winning a bare-knuckle fight known as the Donnybrook.
