When Are Becca and Garrett from ‘The Bachelorette’ Getting Married?
After getting ditched by Arie Luyendyk Jr. after his season of The Bachelor, Becca Kufrin was able to find love again. She had a second chance with her own season of The Bachelorette, in which recent Bachelor star Colton Underwood vied for her romantic attention. Kufrin, however, fell for Garrett Yrigoyen, and they’ve been engaged since.
But how long is too long to be engaged? Are they planning on tying the knot anytime soon? There have been rumors floating around, and there’s even been some talk of wedding planning in the air.
Photoshoot fakeout
On December 15th, 2018, an Instagram photoshoot had some Bachelorette fans feeling very confused.
The photos in question featured Yrigoyen in a suit with suspenders, and a rustic autumnal lapel pin. Kufrin was wearing a lacy white boho dress with an equally autumnal bouquet to match. The shoot itself took place in Squaw Valley, Placer County California, giving the couple a natural backdrop lush with rolling hills and mountains, tall grass, and beautiful stands of forest.
Suffice it to say, the photoshoot looked like the real deal, meticulously planned out. However, fans were disappointed to learn that the photos were merely promotional, organized by wedding planner Forget me Knot.
Could this be a trial run for their actual wedding? Both Kufrin and Yrigoyen love nature and outdoorsy activities. It’s not much of a stretch to imagine that this is what their actual wedding might look like.
The “I dos”
The photoshoot might not have been legit, but there are some things we know the couple are planning for their actual wedding.
In a conversation with Us Weekly, Kufrin mentioned that she wanted to keep the wedding feeling festive. Specifically, she said, “The only thing that we’ve talked about that we want are food trucks. I want a great taco truck and a ton of Skee-Ball machines so everyone can just play games.”
This seems totally fitting for both Kufrin and Yrigoyen’s personalities. Yrigoyen also mentioned that they do have a specific time of year in mind.
“I would say [we’ll get married in the] fall of whatever year we choose because she loves the fall,” he said, referencing Kufrin.
The “I don’ts”
Though we know they want to get married in autumn, we don’t have a specific date on lockdown for Kufrin and Yrigoyen. They aren’t sure themselves and mentioned as much to Us Weekly. “No dates, no months, no venue,” said Kufrin.
Fans have also been wondering if the couple will be televising their wedding. Kufrin and Yrigoyen are fan favorites, so it’s easy to see why they might want a chance to watch them tie the knot. Kufrin and Yrigoyen chimed in on this front.
“I think right now my mom would kill me if I did anything more on TV. She’s like, ‘Just take a break from it all,’” said Kufrin. Kufrin went on to add, “We’ll see, I don’t know. It’s weird because people saw our entire love story unfold and I think that’s something that they feel they would want to take part in, so who knows? I think we’ll cross that bridge when it comes. I’d be happy if we decided to and I’d be happy about it being really private too.”
In light of all of this speculation, the couple has been quick to mention that they “honestly” don’t “have any plans.” But it’s hard to blame fans for wanting to know more. Kufrin and Yrigoyen seem like a very tightly knit couple, and it’s likely their eventual wedding announcement won’t surprise anyone.
