When Are Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Making Their Move to California?
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are two of Counting On’s favorite cast members. The couple got married in 2016 and has since welcomed a little girl named Felicity. Recently, they announced they’d be picking up their lives and moving to Los Angeles this year. But when does the couple officially make their move?
Jinger and Jeremy moved to Texas after they were married
The Duggar children aren’t allowed to leave home until they tie the knot. For Jinger, who was homeschooled just like her siblings, marrying Jeremy meant a major change of pace. Jeremy Vuolo is a pastor in Laredo, Texas, and Jinger agreed to move there with him after they wed. She went from living at home and attending school at home to moving hundreds of miles away from her family. She said on an episode of Counting On that it was a major life change and required some adjustment, but ultimately, the couple grew to love living there.
The couple announced they’re moving to Los Angeles for Jeremy’s graduate classes
Although the two have fallen for Laredo, their lives are leading them in a different direction. Jinger and Jeremy announced on Instagram in late March that God’s plan for them includes moving out of Laredo and building a new life in Los Angeles, California. According to the couple’s blog, Jeremy is pursuing graduate studies at the Master’s Seminary, and the couple will attend Grace Community Church while they are living out there. They didn’t say whether the move would be permanent, but they seem excited to start a new chapter.
The two will leave for California in July of this year
Jeremy and Jinger both said that it wouldn’t be easy to leave Texas. “… Leaving Laredo this July will be one of the hardest things we’ve ever done; our friends here have become like family,” the couple wrote on the blog. The two often post photos of themselves out enjoying the town with their daughter, and it’s clear they will have a hard time leaving. However, they’re heading out this July, and Jeremy will likely start classes the following month. The couple is, of course, bringing their daughter with them, and Jinger hinted on her reality show that she and Jeremy won’t be welcoming any new babies this year. With so much on their plates, they said they’re looking forward to just watching Felicity grow.
Jinger’s family likely wishes she’d move closer
It’s unclear how Jinger’s sisters feel about the move. Although they’re probably happy for her, she’ll be even further away now than ever, which means she won’t be seeing Jana, Jill, Jessa, and the others as much as she’d probably like. Jinger has always been very close with her family, and now she will have to start a new chapter of life all over again without them. Most of the Duggars have remained in Arkansas after marriage, but Jinger has always been one to bend Duggar traditions. Fans are looking forward to the couple documenting their new journey on the West Coast.
